Am I the only one who spotted the slightly out of time QPR reference? Nice one Aussie. Family legend has it that a Swiss-Italian great great aunt or something worked at the Cafe Monico, which you can see in the last of Aussie's photos. ****ing immigrant, coming over here, taking our jobs in Swiss Italian cafes in Piccadilly in the 19th century..........
See, there's the benefit of some controlled immigration. Way to go. You're giving Sooper credit for Aussie's photo's, Stan. There's a QPR reference in all of them.
Well done Aussie.... Btw UTR's why have you posted a picture of Villa Park? A tad further than just around the corner from White City Stadium.......
On a side note most of the adverts around Piccadilly were encouraging smoking and drinking, I suppose both were thought to be healthy activities at the time, mind you could have a Bovril and some chewing gum as well.....
Tramore, at the turn of the centurary, smoking was promoted as good for you because it relaxed you. Come to think of it, that thinking still works for my drinking methods so l won't be quitting the demon drink anytime soon ......
Some interesting old photos included in this French article about our club:- http://www.hat-trick.fr/lhistoire-des-stades-londoniens-qpr-episode-6/ "Arnaud 29 novembre 2014 Super article ! "
We have a winner! Well spotted, your prize is in the post... I managed to post the wrong pic as I'm a bit simple+posted it using my phone. On my small screen it looked ok to me. You can put the smart into the smartphone, but you can't take the idiot out of its user
