The Chairboys travel to the North West to tackle Stanley at the Crown Ground knowing that a point will take them into the playoff positions with ten game remaining, the last time the Chairboys drew a league game was a 2-2 against Notts County back in December a month in which we scored 2 goals in each of 4 of the 5 games we played and Stanley scored just one goal all month how things have changed. Gaz has no new injuries to worry about so will stick with the same squad that won on Saturday with the only change to the starting line up Beano may come in for Blooms. This is Stanley's tenth game in a month, so there must be some tired legs amongst their ranks, in those ten games six have been at home, winning three, drawing two, with just the one defeat so to get anything out of this game we need to find our finishing touch in front of goal or to put it another way turn the clock back to December, we have only lost the once at the Crown Ground and that was ten years ago and I expect the lads to come away with at least a point
As we know, the last six games have all finished 1-0 to the home side but Wanderers must dig deep to get back into this one. #ACCvWYC
Good evening all. Been without internet since yesterday (apart from a brief look in via Amanda's mobile)as our telephone line was brought down. Just got on at Amanda's house. Didn't realise we were playing tonight
62: well this one won't finish 1-0! Ugwu's shot deflects into the path of Thompson who races onto it and buries it. Game on! 1-1 #ACCvWYC
The run of 1-0 scores is over as Thompson's goal forces our first league draw in three months. That is a good point. https://t.co/pTmRqy8sL4
FT: Accrington 1-1 Wycombe. Thompson's goal earns a well-deserved and important point. #ACCvWYC https://t.co/ldefNQbSLN
"Ugwu's shot is deflected into the path of Thompson who races onto it and buries it" I'm amazed he stayed on his feet long enough Have your players improved in the upright department? Thanks Wycombe and that isn't said with any shred of irony either. Best result all round for us.
After a pretty forgettable first half all round, we looked excellent in the second yesterday after ugwu came one (never thought id say that!). well taken goal from thommo, and accrington honestly looked there for the taking but i feel gazs message was for us not to lose as oppose to win Good point though, probably a fair result in the end. Goal infuriated me at the time, looked pretty offside but ive been told since it wasnt!
