Not necessarily, but they would have taken an extremely dim view of my behaviour

    On e report says
Cheltenham racecourse has cancelled a booking by football club Milton Keynes Dons after one of its players was photographed appearing to urinate into a glass.
The Championship side has launched an investigation after the publication of the images, said to show 22-year-old midfielder Samir Carruthers relieving himself in full view of racegoers while in an executive box at the prestigious course. Another picture also appeared to show another footballer, Northampton Town's James Collins also urinating into a long glass before pouring its contents over the balcony, as Carruthers and Bristol City defender Luke Ayling looked on grinning.

So I guess I shouldn't stand next to the guy in the Dolman with an E-cig!!

Storm in a tea cup or a glass to be precise (from City's perspective)

I know when i was growing up in the 90s you would often see city players at coaching days i recall the goal keepers and Gary Shelton plus a few others, often use to see gas players around as well.

Considering we have the first team under 21s a women team and even Rugby team as well now all under the same banner plus the coaches of those teams there must be 100 people here who could do a bit of coaching at a school

You're obviously very liberal and tolerant Shiny - if I was showered by someone's piss - then saw it was a bunch of overpaid footballers laughing at me I would probably fly into a rage.

Hopefully Ayling was just 'there' and not doing anything other than enjoying a day out.

I would be as well, but I wouldn't be pissed off with the people laughing, more the person who done it! Our player/s were just stood there, that's it! The same thing would have happened it Ayling wasn't there. If you want to be mad at them for simply being there then fair enough, up to you.

ffs <doh> as I just said above, it would have happened if none of our players were there. Get over yourself for **** sake. A bloke pissed in a glass, not a 3 year old orphans face.

Ayling had his arm round a mate grinning from ear to ear as piss is poured over the balcony. So no the same would not have happened if they were not there because most people wouldnt laugh and joke about that to encourage it.. Throw piss around in the 3 Lions people wouldn't laugh they would slap whoever did it.

People think football fans and players are arseholes as it is. Those pictures prove it in some eyes.

Yes the same would have happened, the player would have pissed in the glass and through it over the balcony. You can actually see in the photos Ayling is walking over to them as one is already pissing in a glass. I seen far worse on holiday with my mates, and far worse will happen in life. Why don't you worry more about pollution levels rising to such an amount over half a million people in our country will lose their lives due to it by 2025 rather than a player from another club taking a leak into a glass where one of ours is just laughing at it.

Don't think it is so much of what happened, but the fact is that it has been publicised. Turn my computer on and the home page has Ayling on it. So is George Osbourne on the same home page. Its at that level news. People will look at it and draw their own conclusions. No matter what happened, a negative publicity is brought to the club and they will have to decide what action to take-

You do not represent Bristol City FC.

If my role/employment was linked to similar behaviour I would be highly likely to lose my job.

I'm sure you have Shiny, and I've done far far worse myself, but these guys are supposed to be role models and are highly paid for the privileged lives they enjoy. You and I just aren't.

I'm sure whether they are in football kit or dressed in casual clothes, the expectation of the respective clubs is that they are supposed to be ambassadors wherever they go.

These type of incidents are the main reason why I have lost my belief in the game over the last years. These overpaid idiots for some reason, known only to themselves, think they have the entitlement to act like fools and not get any retribution and that by putting it on social media just brings them more gratification.

Any employee of mine using their brains to come up with this kind of nonsense would be fired immediately even though it would probably end up in the human rights court. I have human rights and it is not to see disgusting acts performed in the first place and to do it in such a public place is reprehensible. These are the people that our youth, clearly mistakenly, look up to for inspiration but then again it is a clear indicator how all society has gone to hell in a hand cart. I am fed up and tired of all this negative social media world that has been created to the benefit of none.

Can someone let me know where we will be meeting with our pitchforks and burning torches please?

The image on left could quite easily be Ayling saying "there are photographers over there mate you want to knock that on the head"

If the box was booked by MK Dons our players may have been guests here and he may have been having a discreet word without pulling him out on it. The other two are out of order and deserve what they get which would be a ****ing smack in the mouth from the person underneath if there is any justice. article-3493923-323ADF9E00000578-101_964x408.jpg

They are now saying the balcony wasn't above any people, but was above a field.

Let's get this straight - the last thing I want is Ayling sacked or even fined. It appears that he was just 'there' - some of you more observant ones may have noticed the words 'if true' in the title of this thread.
The behaviour of the individuals was silly, disgusting and wrong - whether it was 'normal' blokes on a stag night or the royal family - or footballers.

The main thing here is that when you are footballers - whether playing for Barcelona, MK Dons, Northampton or Bristol City, the press will sieze on a moment of stupidity and ensure it is published.
Now, Ayling is not participating actively, but I hope he (and also team-mates who were not there) learn from this.

When famous (and footballers ARE) you need to remember that cameras are on you at all times and if your mates do something stupid you get dragged into it too.

I too have done some things - probably worse than that - and got away with them in my past, but I know that if pictures of me had appeared in the press associated with something like this I would be asked to explain myself.

    A learning curve methinks.

Relieved (no pun intended) that Ayling wasn't the culprit!!
