    31 today.

City expect him to sign a new deal before the Boro game.

Edit - New two year deal signed today.

Hope you are right about the contract, back to his best for the vast majority of this season

He has been exemplary this season, almost back to the best we have seen of him. Any ideas on the contract length? I would guess 2yrs

I don't think he's been that exemplary to be honest. He's done enough. He looks a bit shakey and not as confident as he was to me.

He was one of our best players on Saturday except for getting in Akproms way in their box.

Defending he's fine, still a very good player.

It's when he tries to bring the ball out of defence that he looks a bit awkward compared to Dawson and Maguire.

He's at an age now where he's going to start getting lots of soft tissue injuries. It'd be a shame to lose him for nowt but can we afford to pay what must be a sizeable wage to someone who's likely to spend half a season on the treatment table?

    I'd let him go.

Rubbish. Recovery times drop away but as long as he is fit, as he obviously is, he can keep playing at the same level for a few more seasons. Be it not the same quantity of games

He's signed a new two year extension to his current deal.

Forgive me, is this a comment about Elmo on the pitch, or his contract? <confused>

I think Elmo's burnt out and shouldn't be offered a new deal.

He certainly not the player he was, which is a shame because on his day he was brilliant, a victim of a change of formation, what I do know is that he and Dave don't play well when they are on the pitch together.

Elmo needs to be locked out of the training ground. And the stadium. And anything else that has the club associated with it.
