Old gag alert.. A guy parks his car near Anfield, and two scallies ask him for a fiver to look after his car. The guy laughed and said, "nobody'll nick my car, I leave my rotweiller in it" "Ah right" say the scallies, "can it put out fires?"
Unfortunately you cannot insure against loss or damage, not because operators don't want to do it but more the fact that you can't get insurance. You would open up the floodgates for bogus claims, whenever you have a scrape go and park your car in a car park scenario..... It's frustrating, and it's happened to all of us at some stage re what are you paying for....the land rent, the business rates, power to the site and any set up costs they're not cheap to set up if you do it properly. We have requested power from the national grid which take 16 weeks, we'll then install floodlighting for safety reasons, next year we hope to install CCTV which should help with any damage claims. We avoided packing cars in to give people plenty of space that helps to mitigate against knocks and bumps. Hope this answers your questions? PS thanks to anybody who came in yesterday.....shame about the result, awful first half!!
I forgot to mention we are one of the few car park operators in the City that DO have people at hand, on this site and our other one next to the eye hospital on HRI...
