    If he goes to a club in England that isn't us, I'd rather his talents be utilised by a club like Newcastle.

    Obviously Newcastle doesn't have the same history as us but I recognise a lot of parallels between Liverpool and Newcastle and the fans of both.

    I have respect for Newcastle.

    Rafa will do a good job in the circumstances but it's a very tough ask, Newcastle have got to play Leicester next so could easily potentially be off to a losing start for el Waitrose there. Then they have us, Spurs and City in their run in, you'd expect 3 losses there given what's going on at the other end of the table. So what, 6 games to save the season. Like I say, real tough ask.

    Good appointment for them long term... Not sure he's the right type of manager in the short term to keep them up though.
