On a side not from the midfield battering, why does Lloris insist on always chipping the ball out to a full back? It's difficult for them to control and we seem to always get dispossessed facing our own goal. Really frustrating.
"It'll take a small miracle to keep a clean sheet for that long!" If anything, tonight will be a defending training session that cannot be produced at Enfield.
That goal stems from Eriksen not being able to clear the ball properly. He did the same thing on Saturday which led to sanchez' goal.
Our midfield is getting totally overrun and Chadli's unable to hold the ball up. Need to make some sort of change if we make it to half-time with the same scoreline.
Son is doing absolutely nothing defensively. The amount of times that Davies has been 2-on-1 is ridiculous.
I said it before the game, but I don't really know what son does at all to be honest. He's popped up with the odd goal and has been a bit of a hero since the Watford game. But I don't think he offers a lot personally. I find him and Chadli extremely frustrating.
CM and attack has been non-existent in holding up whatever ball they get. Luck, and not tactical nous, is the only reason Spurs are only 0-1.
Chadli I can forgive because we know he's an attacking midfielder being asked to do a forwards/strikers role because "you know who" refused to write a cheque for another forward. So it's square pegs in round holes. Not his fault. Son however is playing in his natural position yet offers neither quality assists, passes, aggression or goals. I don't know what his key assets are!
1-0 HT. Terrible first half. Lost the midfield completely and our defence was often overrun. The strategy doesn't suit the team selection. We need to make at least one change during the break, even if it's only bringing on Bentaleb. If we want to save our starters, then I'm not sure why we've even got them on the bench. Would've been a nice trip for some more youth players.
