That would be nice, they have a lot of great stuff in storage. From that article it seems Cargiant will still be occupying the site until 2021, so nothing to get excited about short term. Even if QPR did get land there we would be looking at 2024 probably, with all the additional infrastructure needed, before a new ground would be ready. Do we really think Tony is going to last that long?

Gut feeling: the club will be under different ownership some time before 2021.

I attended the meeting and have compared the car giant comments to the minutes, and the club did not state what they are implying, in the context that car giant think. its a play on words. Its difficult to understand why they are so pi**ed off.

So no one from the club said or implied anything about a high degree of likelihood regarding a QPR stadium at Old Oak Common and/or involving use of land now owned by Cargiant?

Outraged. I intend to send my QPR/CarGiant shirt (currently in pieces and being used as dusters) back to them at the earliest opportunity

The minutes of the meeting that I have do not state that "a stadium is the only viable option" and they do not state that "a stadium could sit side by side with car giant".

Neither has the club said anything about a high degree of likelyhood as far as Ive heard. But of course car giant has been mentioned as they are a large landowner on the site.

Wouldn't it just be cheaper and easier to offer H&F Borough Council sufficient money to buy the Jack Tizard school and a small piece of land somewhere in the Borough to which the school could relocate? The existing ground could be made a bit larger and a bit nicer - maybe get up to 25,000 capacity - more than enough for a London also-run club yo-yoing between the top two divisions.

We should try and buy the Linford Christie stadium and build a new ground there, then create a walk trough Scrubs park from the new station that'll be at old oak, like a green version of wembley walk!

I've been thinking along these lines. They might not want any expansion in the middle of a residential area, but compared to losing the club from the borough a smallish price to pay. I suppose it would get very messy trying to buy up all the houses on the stadium sides of Loftus Road and Ellerslie Road, even with huge bribe offers.

But of course there is no cash in it for the owners with this option, they don't get to build flats to finance the whole thing and give themselves a bonus.

How about building on the Christopher Wren School site, most of the kids don't go there much anyway?

There's no way in the current climate that we would be able to knock down a school, even on the off chance we could find a site to relocate it there would be far too much protest from families that go there. We'd have more chance of buying the surrounding houses and it'd probably be cheaper, not really an option though as there is no return in that for the owners!

I agree, try and buy all the houses on Ellerslie Rd and that would solve the problem but i guess the house owners would have something to say. You would have thought over the years QPR would have purchased the properties when available.
Makes TF's stadium pictures look like fantasy now.

Houses, jobs, all complete bollocks, they want the best return on their land as possible which is fair enough. These people have no morals, so I wish they would just be honest.
I can't see us having a new ground in W12, it will be further out or we stay at LR.
