Wonder what odds you'd get for Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, and Arsenal all having no CL (group stage) next season

Chelsea and Man Utd are already #nailedon so it's just a City and Arsenal #bottlejob away

Arsenal and City can't both lose out, if United fail there is only Westham left to take one of the places.

    Yeah, fair point :emoticon-0100-smile

Thing is, City will have Pep then (Like you have Klopp) and will be world beaters so, have little chance of bottling the qualifier if they make it that far <ok>

It is not beyond the bounds of possibility for the Top 4 to be Leicester, Tottenham , West Ham and Liverpool. Well, let's hope!!! FA Cup winners, Everton. CL winners, certainly not City and EL, hopefully not United (there are at least 8 teams in that tournament that are better such as Sevilla, Athletic, Villareal, Spurs, Liverpool (maybe), Borussia and the other German teams.

I can see an Aguero injury leaving City in 5th (or Pellegrini just being **** would do it too)

Arsenal get their 4th place trophy, Spurs being above them causes Gooner #rage to get Arsene sacked, and the new manager loses the qualifier because half of Arsenal's squad is on the injury table

Ok so spurs and leivester are 2 of the 4.

    chelsea are too far off.

If there's 4 clubs going for two spaces it is possible arsenal and city won't be in the two. However...... at this point in time I think the most likely <whistle> Outcome is utd i n3rd and LFC winning europa league.

At this point the cat will firmly be amongst the pidgeons

I think everyone needs to realise Leicester will be 4th seeds in their group probably. (I need to look at rules if they win the league) and tottenham might be 3rd seeds so theres a big impending issue with our 4th place cl spot coming.

I think spurs might be alright as they are in the Europey year in year out.

The other thing you need to remember is with leicester going into 4th seed, chances are one of the itai teams will be pushed up potentially to a better grading

right now spurs are 21st in the coefficients. utd are 20th.

So I did a bit of looking

Pot one is champions of each league. This might be leicester so they'd avoid Barcelona and others like bayern, juve... This is key i feel. It also means the other english clubs will not be top seeds in any group.

Pot two will be based on the coefficients. this will mean the top other 7 league champions are taken out so the next 8 clubs come next if qualified. eg cheslea were 4th so they are not there so that means 16th (city and arsenal are in this group) will be second seeds. city and arsenal would be here.

Pot 3 will then be the next lot. If for example spurs are second then they will be third seeds. It sounds as though utd should be 3rd seeds also (unless they go futher i neuropa of course and jump another couple ranks.

    so:

    1. Leicester should be no 1 seeds and therefore it would be down to who is in their group. It would be highly unusual for a team totally new to euope to get out of group. say they get atletico, dortmund or similar in the group.. do we really see the leiceter model continuing to take europe by sotrm? who knows.

    2. Arsenal and city could be second seeds. This emans like this year they get a barca or a bayern in their group and must be careful they don't **** up. They will be looking squarely at 2nd in the group and yet again oops... danger i nthe last 16.

    3. Our next two will be put in groups away form english clubs so will be fighting the 2nd seed in that group over two ties to get above them to even get out of group.

This isn't exactly a pretty picture.

All in all if we want more european success I would actually say tottenham winning the league and taking a top seed berth with arsenal and city coming through as well maximises this.

Leicester have enough points for 4th so they would at worst go into groups as 4th seed..... and then have low chance of doing anything.

    ..............................

The big clubs have really ****ed up in the prem... and in europe. Arsneal and city have really failed to build quality midfields and fail to control games. Both had really top second line forwards and strikers but the CMS like fernando, coquelin etc are just not up to it.

Win the league go pot 1 come 2nd you end up in pot 4 and can draw all the big teams.

And they say this format is harder! :emoticon-0172-mooni
