Head coach Steve McClaren remains in charge of Newcastle United after talks with managing director Lee Charnley. McClaren, whose side are 19th in the Premier League, has taken training all week and spoke to Charnley by phone on Wednesday after a planned face-to-face meeting failed to take place. The 54-year-old was pictured smiling as he left the club's training ground. His future remains unclear but he is expected to take training on Thursday before Monday's game at Leicester. The Magpies are in danger of a second relegation in seven years after five defeats in six league games, including Saturday's 3-1 loss to Bournemouth. Newcastle board members Charnley, chief scout Graham Carr and club ambassador Bob Moncur met away from Tyneside on Monday to discuss possible ways forward with 10 games of the season remaining. However, there has been no public comment from the club in the days since, despite the speculation over the former England manager's position.
i was just sitting here trying to digest this latest decision and trying to stay positive. I was thinking, okay they keep him, perhaps a **** manager is better than no manager? He stays whilst they sort out terms with Rafa? Then reality hit me hard. Charnley, broker a contract with Benetez, Rodgers, Moyes. Not going to happen is it? That's it for me, l am done with this farce.
**** you Ashley, **** you Charnley and **** you McClaren. I've got a ticket for the mackem game, if he's still in charge after they beat us again, I'll never go till they've all gone. They've worn me out, the bastards.
So watching Sky Sports News and they haven't even picked up on this WTF is going on!! They're saying wally has more talks tomorrow after training.
How on earth can Charnley possibly talk to and attract a manager of the calibre of Benetez, when it doesn't appear that he could arrange a face to face meeting with fooking McLaren. They have not met in person since Bornemouth, spoke on the phone! Jesus Christ where is the urgency, do they not see the fooking big hole we are just about to plunge into?
Two mins ago. I don't know what to believe any more. http://www.newsnow.co.uk/A/2/820279812?-11058:809:0
The BBC is just a rehash of what other media outlets were reporting hours ago, with key elements omitted from the story.
Keith Bishop must be a PR genius to get all the media outlets pushing different versions of the the truth....in sales talk it's called baffled by bull****!
If the ****s in power keep that ginger **** in charge then I hope they are all ready to reap what they sow. It will be like the Royal Rumble when the Mackems hand our arse to us on a plate. Last Man ****ing standing.
What to believe.... http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...0160309-_-Football-_-390538647-_-Imageandlink
If that article was in NUFC's 'media partner', the Mirror I would pay it lip service........................ since its the Daily Fail, I call bullshit. Its a presumption piece at best. No way will the Spanish waiter be coming here.................... and even if he does, you can be certain he has a get out clause for when we go down. Rafa aint no Championship manager, that's for sure.
Thought this was quite funny.... please log in to view this image Be even better if it was drawn on someones Bell-end. haha
was thinking last night, maybe they arent sacking mcclaren as he'll be staying on as coach or on the board and appointing a manger to take over?
Woke up and checked Twitter... and still no exit for the Clown. It's like waiting for the smoke to rise out of the Vatican to signal the ascension of the new pope. I have to say... it's a **** way for McClaren to be treat. It's like me banging a knock off in front of the wife and carrying on like everything is normal.
Theres a lot of noise about benetez being linked this morning with odds at 2/5. It wouldn't surprise me if benetez comes in with mclaren doing a coach role. That would be a good move.
