my all time favourite player... proof to the phrase the hard work will always beat talent especially if talent isn't prepared to work. which is why he caught so many people out in the middle and they knew they had been in a game at the end of 90 minutes.

Every shirt I had in that time had Ballys number, and names towards the end when they came about, remember that not been that long the names been on seems mad!

Legend. Would have taken a kick in the eye to save a throw in.

Ball was/is not just a great servant to our club as a player and coach, but he is also a gentleman and a great ambassador..I have had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of times and it was an honour..

Sorry to disappoint you BM. The bloke at the Apollo was funny. This one is different. He thinks he is.

Not sure we have really. Plenty can give and take. Some funny buggers. Some are crackers (present company excepted.) RAW dry as hell, Billy, comm, loads of them I`d love to have a drink with. ****ing bedlam would inevitably ensue.

Then of course we have the epitome of wit and reparte. eg our visitor strachallister. "No, your a ****" followed by " maybe your still a ****", and we are all expected to fall about in paroxysms of mirth. My, we must be so slow as to have missed the nuances of this brilliant sleight of mind. How can we possibly live with ourselves? How can we compete with this vast intellect?

strachallister, you are amazing. When you (and millions of your ilk) get together you might, just might manage to reach the dizzy intellectual status of plankton.

Look up the word `****wit`. It`s you. It really is.
