Freshfields law firm finds no evidence that the 2006 World Cup was bought.
The law firm brought in by the DFB to look into allegations of wrongdoing in Germany's bid for the 2006 World Cup has found no evidence of vote buying. However, it has also said it can't completely rule this out.

    http://www.dw.com/en/freshfields-la...that-the-2006-world-cup-was-bought/a-19094341

How much were they paid to say that? What a load of balls, of course the 2006 World Cup was bought. How come the last minute vanishing act performed by the Oceania delegate? Absolute nonsense, and -
"Beckenbauer has repeatedly rejected allegations of corruption, claiming the money was paid to FIFA to unlock subsidies to be used in organizing the tournament. The 70-year-old Beckenbauer, however, has since admitted he made a "mistake," conceding that he had signed several documents at the time without reading them first."

....." conceding that he had signed several documents at the time without reading them first." <doh>

AIM (the Alternative Investment Market) works no differently to the main London Stock Exchange market; it is just that the companies listed there are generally smaller and are perceived to be riskier investments. The AIM All Share index has fallen from 735 on 4th January to 702 at Friday’s close. The FTSE 100 (the biggest shares) declined to 5,536 on 11th February but has risen since to close at 6,199 on Friday.

Good news output from Summit is no guarantee of a share price rise, just as it would not be with any other company. If the news was expected, then it has probably already been factored into the share price at an earlier stage. The Summit share price has declined from 146 on 4th January to 101 at Friday’s close, illustrating the general sentiment against smaller shares in uncertain economic times.

I am not sure where you got the 9p share price for Plethora from as it has not traded above 7p in over a year. Looking at the chart for the last year, it was 2.85p on 3rd November 2015 and rocketed to 5.4p the following day. After peaking at 5.75p on 12th November, it has declined steadily ever since to close on Friday at 2.78p. Regent Pacific shares closed on Friday at 0.08 Hong Kong dollars and they have pretty much flat-lined for the last six months.

Jean-Claude Juncker fears that a Brexit could lead to “war again in Europe”. Fascinating. Can he tell us who the two sides are so we can figure out which one we want to sell weapons?

Yvette Cooper (Labour leadership loser whose old man lost his seat to a Tory singer and is now working on getting Norwich City relegated) apparently thinks that a free trade deal with Europe following a Brexit will mean tariffs on goods. Hardly surprising that a woman whose husband cannot add up fails to understand the meaning of the phrase “free trade”. She made some very lame excuses this morning to John Pienaar for why Jeremy Corbyn has not been out campaigning for the “Stronger In” group. He managed to find the CND rally last week but he used to be pretty lukewarm on Europe...

According to German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schäuble, if we escape from the EU we will have to pay into the EU budget in order to get access to the single market and we will have to accept free movement of people. Is that not the situation we are currently in Wolfgang? I wonder how popular Herr Schäuble will be with the German car industry if the Brexit happens and they are going to lose a million car sales a year because he is hell bent on punishing us for stabbing The Project through the heart.

Project Fear keep banging on about Norway but we are not Scandinavian and we are the fifth largest economy in the World. So we will forge a deal on our terms or Europe’s stagnating economy will sink without the 23 billion pounds they make from trading with us.

As to who would be better or worse off should there be a Brexit is, at present, a matter of opinion, and it's a close call.

Being a person who likes to keep options open until I'm very sure in my own mind and certainly against burning bridges unnecessarily before then, there is only one option for me at present. I firmly believe that an exit is "burning bridges" unnecessarily. If we stay in I don't believe it won't be possible to get out later if the doubts are removed. If we can get out now, we can get out any time we want.

It would be interesting to know which countries believe they would be better off out and to what extent. If no other member believes the EU is about to collapse, how come so many Brits believe believe it is. If there was at least one other influential member that believed it to be doomed it would be a relatively simple task to agree with them and put forward a joint solution to the problem. That's my favoured approach as it avoids all the risks (including any not envisaged) and would either get us out via an amicable agreement or provide an option to be part of a completely reformed EU with at least 2 influential members looking for something more suitable and sustainable, with tighter controls on membership.

    Decision made <party>

This 'Fear' crap makes me laugh. QMII, and one or two others, what you are preaching is also a form of 'Fear', so for Christ sake don't be so intolerant and biased. After listening to Boris Johnson yesterday, I agree, he is a buffoon.

Having got the hump with the ship's company, I have decided to jump into a leaky lifeboat and row into a tempest in the dark. And I won't let 'Project Fear' tell me it's a bad idea! Follow me everybody, it's a leap into the light - or is that lightning?

My old man said the difference between the two camps is that the In side are using Dante for their inspiration whilst the No camp are relying on Hans Christian Anderson...

SH - just back from my usual 'extended' stay in Munich. Still a wee bit 'strange' around the main station however the only problem I incurred (own fault) was in one of the 'hosty bars' in Schillerstrasse. I stupidly left the Sportsbar when FCB were two up against Juventus. Felt a right arse on Wednesday morning!!!

Yes, BK, they should never have let Juventus back into the game, IMHO? The return is a bit dodgy, but I think Bayern should see it through. What bothers me is that Paul Pogba had a bad game by his standards, can't see him doing that twice running?
