Like that starting line up but think he might start Aluko rather than Diomande as he covers back well and Diomande didnt impress at Birmingham when subbed in. Maloney definitely preferable to Taylor. First goal will be key. Jak needs to have another blinder. Hope Ramsey is on the bench as he always gives us trouble.

We should be in a position to go for the FA Cup, but we're not , too many poorly dropped points. All focus must, simply must, be on automatic promotion, don't lose track of it's importance. Put out a second string and take what comes - we might be pleasantly surprised. Arsenal are good, so are we, on the day.

Extra time and penalties will do nicely
You look tired at Birmingham,AH didnt seem in the slightest interested
Could be a blip on the way at exactly the right time

Shows how confident you are in your side that you're worrying about how we get on. We'll play our reserves and make ten changes, as we said the last time we played, there won't be any first teamers to get tired.

Not sure why extra time and penalties would have any impact on the league when none of the league XI will be playing.

We also didn't really look tired at all against Birmingham, we pummeled their goal.

    Team news...

Meyler doing the presser with Brucey this morning, so that's him starting. :emoticon-0105-wink:

Fully fit squad to chose from again, though Bruce has confirmed he's rotating the squad as in previous rounds.

Unsurprisingly, he's confirmed Powell and Maloney will start.

Will Powell be lining up at LB, GK, RM or will he finally be used properly as a striker?

Hopefully with Powell and Maloney starting we will offer up some creativity. Just need to get at them, nothing to lose.

I think tomorrow night provides a genuine opportunity for one or two to make the next league match starting 11 after Brum last week.

Good luck tomorrow although I suspect you'd rather have the certain 3 pts off us and another 5 goals at this stage of the season.

ATM one goal in a game would be a blessing.

My issue with Bruce is, as proved many times in the past.. Is say Maloney has a stormer against Arsenal tomorrow, or Maguire for example... will Bruce have them starting the next league game? No, he'll stick with the usual first 11.. He always says "this is a time for players to impress" but very rarely have I seen him actually put that into action.

Jak's performance is the perfect example, he had his best game for us, possibly his best game in his career and for me, why not let him in the next game against Ipswich?

Im not saying everytime a player has a great game, chop & switch the team up for the sake of it. But what is he showing the players by not including them in a league game when they've thoroughly impressed in the cup..

Tymon is another example, although he's young, he was great against Arsenal... so why not let him start at left back and push Robertson into the left wing role where Clucas has been under performing recently..

You just get the idea that Bruce has his mind made up about who will play and no matter who really shines in the cup, they've got very little chance of starting a league game.

Charlton put two past us, I don't think you'd struggle right now.

I would love it if we finally stuff Arsenal tomorrow night after being robbed at Wembley in 2014 (if that twat of a ref had correctly given a goal kick & not a corner we would have won the FA Cup 2-1). We have to get stuck in, make it physical & upset the Arsenal ballerinas. I really think we can do them tomorrow but I have a feeling Bruce will rest his name players & we'll lose. I can't stand Arsenal fans, so full of themselves & smug. How good it would feel to dump them out of The Cup & listen to Arsene Whinger moaning after the game. Come on City, make my day!!!!!!
