If it wasn't something derogatory, or possibly derogatory to Spurs , you wouldn't have bothered with it.

More baseless bollocks! And hypocritical rubbish. All clubs are guilty of the accusations you make. Only the Spammers have been gifted a multi, multi million pound stadium for nothing. Wonder how that works?...

Personally, I think Joe Lewis and Karen Brady are as bad as each other for shafting the public purse. I was just pointing out the hypocrisy of Spurs fans whinging about West Ham benefiting from public money when Spurs themselves have benefited massively from the public purse also. It's also a bit hollow to claim that Spurs are using the public money to benefit the community as they wriggled their way out of the £16m legal commitment to fund social projects like housing, schools and transport. Spurs didn't really give a **** about Tottenham when they were threatening Haringey that they'd up sticks and move to Stratford too.

Hundreds of millions do not equate to £40m ... the £40m is being spent on roads and the public use buildings and community work. It could reasonably be argued that spurs should pay for this but to claim that spurs fans are hypocrites for objecting to west ham being GIVEN a stadium built with tax payers money and renovated with tax payers money and only having to pay £2.5m a year for it is stupid.
The decision stinks of rich Tories helping out other rich Tories.
I ain't made out that spurs love Haringey or are anything other than a business. Most spurs fans actively opposed moving from Haringey and made that known to the club. I find it embarrassing that a club worth hundreds of millions, that pays its players 40 or 50 per week won't pay all its staff the London Living Wage. I have made these and other criticisms of spurs. ..I have not however ever seen you make that criticism of Arsensl (who also refuse to pay iy to all their staff) the only hypocrisy I see is you and big earn making **** up about MP being tapped up by us and pretending the OS deal is anything other than unacceptable and possibly corrupt.
It is the wum nature of some football fans that allows clubs to take the piss out of fans and the local communities they are in. There are plenty of things worth wumming each other about, but there are some things that should be seriously campaigned against and the OS deal is definitely one.

Of course you won't find him making any criticism of anybody but Spurs. He's the most one eyed of one eyed Gooners. With a consuming obsession about Spurs.

I agree it's rich Tories helping other rich Tories and it stinks. In the case of ENIC it's an offshore based business that threatened to leave a poor London borough so that they would concede to pouring public money into their private business. ENIC have also shifted the ownership of the stadium project to the Bahamas in a move that looks like it's everything to do with tax avoidance.

I don't buy the 'socially responsible' Spurs angle either as they actively campaigned to wriggle out of the £16m social fund set aside for housing and schools. Despite their owner being worth something like £2.8bn.

ENIC were fully prepared to shaft Totttenham and move to the OS and used it as leverage to get more public money poured into the stadium project. They seemed quite happy to accept the same benefits that have been handed to West Ham and only started throwing their toys out of the pram when they weren't awarded the OS.

I think Karen Brady and ENIC are as bad as each other. Leeches sucking money out of the public purse for their own private businesses, when they can afford to pay for it themselves.

Yes, a typical one eyed gooner view. It's pointless trying to debate anything to do with Spurs with you, your obsession obscures any tiny rationality you may have left.

So in a thread about the spurs manager wanting to take a job at a bigger club, spurs fans have decided to start talking about us and our new stadium.

But they don't feel threatened by us atall.

What you just described can be applied to all premier league clubs. They are all business that spend millions on tax experts who advise them how to use legal loop holes to avoid as much tax as possible. The clubs in London then have the nerve to not pay all their staff the London Living Wage. Spurs only pay it for those who are not "just" match day employees. Last summer Arsenal weren't even matching that.
Football acts likes every other big business and the financial dealing are appalling. Another example is Arsenal trying to put small match day stalls out of business by copy righting the word "Gooner". You imply that spurs are somehow different or even worse than all other clubs...rather than ALL are run by greedy rich gits who will do anything to save money.
The difference with the OS deal is obvious imo. A multi million pound business was given a stadium costing hundreds of millions to build and a further tens of millions to convert and in return they only have to pay the public back £2.5m a year. They also are refusing to make the deal transparent by not fully releasing the terms of the deal.
The spurs plan for the OS (which most spurs fans opposed) involved us paying for the stadium and paying for crystal palace athletic stadium to be upgraded. Spurs claimed they could do that because they'd knock the OS down and rebuild a football stadium on it. They claimed it would be affordable as they would not have to do any foundation work or worry about the working on the local infrastructure...the reason it was turned down was because Seb Coe (as the head of the London 2012 bid) had promised an athletics legacy and believed that if the Spurs plan happened then he would not win the election to become head of the International Amateur Athletics Federation (which he eventually did) so the deal to hand it over to his Tory mates was deemed ok. Like I said, I and most other spurs fans did not want the OS as our home but the deal to give it to west ham is a very unfunny joke. And that's without even taking the damaging effect on Leyton Orient FC into account.

Every single thread goes the same way.

Surely the main participants are bored of it by now?!
