I have to see how everybody has recovered today but overall we should have the same squad that went to Tottenham plus Alex Iwobi will certainly be added to the squad. on Petr Cech… Petr’s scans were better than expected, but it will still be four weeks for him. So after the international break. on Laurent Koscielny… Laurent will be short for Hull. he has a chance to be available for the weekend, but I think even for then he will be short. please log in to view this image
I hope Hull will be more positive than the first match & Arsenal show some of the desire I saw yesterday. May the best team win. (as long as it is Arsenal)!!!
Be good to see us progress as we have a chance of winning this again. But I'd much rather we rested players as it's been full tilt this past week and isn't letting up for a while yet.
Coquelin is suspended, I would keep Flamini away from every team of ours ever and play Elneny (who looked decent vs Spurs) alongside Ramsey (but tell him to stop bombing the **** forwards). Aside from that, Campbell right, Alexis left, Giroud up top, Ozil in behind. Not much else we can change. I'd keep Gibbs in, he had a decent game. Maybe give Chambers a run out at RB or CB, depending on who needs a rest (Mert or Bellerin)
Welbeck was good because he ran in behind the Spurs defence. Hull won't sit that high up, and our best chance of scoring will be crosses and for Giroud to head at goal or flick-on/knock-down to teammates.
Wenger has just given a press conference ahead of the game "I will have to rotate a little bit to keep the right balance" He also said that Iwobi will come into the squad.
Hope the under preforming players are dropped and others given a chance. At this stage of the season, we need to be playing our best performing players, than our best players.
I'd like to see the Merts/Kos partnership reinstated tbh. While I like Gab and he's brought speed and energy to our defence, we've looked unbalanced with him there. Gibbs should keep his place, so Chambers can then slot into RB position and give Bellerin potentially his last break of the season. Elneny and Ramsey in the centre, Iwobi, Campbell and Sanchez in the attacking midfield positions With Welbeck upfront, as even though he won't get the space to attack like he did against Spurs, Giroud has looked far off the pace and Welbeck's movement has caused trouble, so I think he could drag defenders out of position.
Apparently he trained before the first game with Hull and was expected to be in the squad. I've got no idea what's going on with him, because with Oxo out and Walcott in crap form, then surely he deserves a chance ?
Hopefully Campbell and Iwobi get the chance to continue their good form and the incoming players freshen up the team and give us some much needed impetus.
Campbell has been unlucky not to be starting in the league games as he's in good form. Hopefully he can score again tonight and force his way back into the starting XI against west Brom at the weekend.
Yes fingers crossed, with Oxo being poor all season, Theo being very average since coming back from injury months ago and Sanchez being pretty terrible (by his standards) since coming back from injury, besides against Spurs - Campbell has been our best winger and very unlucky
We're playing a second string, although it is quite a strong one for a championship side. Check out Adama Diomande though. Man he's ****
Being away from home mighr Hopefully Sanchez will recover some form after scoring against the Spuds. But Campbell should definitely be in the starting line up tonight. Also I'm glad we're playing away from home again, the atmosphere at the Emirates has been toxic and I think the game at WHL gave the fans and team a bit of a chance to come together again. Hopefully with a win tonight, the fans will get behind the team on Saturday against WBA
