With the strong squad that we will be taking tonight, will we get our first glimpse of Pantsil in action, I am expecting a lot from him given his pedigree, he was unlucky with the later times at Fulham. As well as this how does everyone think that the team will gel , what with the almost complete new team bought in by SGE. I really hope that they can get along as quickly as the loans did last season, I think that it is vital that we get off to a flying start, QPR did it last year and stayed there. I think that the expectation is such that if the first few games go adversely then confidence could drop and pressure could build up. I pray to God (figuratively) that SGE can get us off to a winning start. Hopefully as well by the time that the season starts we will have a new striker or two, because we are still sadly lacking in this one vital area. I believe that the latest talk is another offer for Maynard in the region of £4M + Waggy ( admittedly from the Star) but if this was true then I wouldn't mind, after all we paid over the odds for him and he has so far failed to deliver.
It'll be a second string 11 with a few new faces but it'll be a match for the likes of Dyer, Waggy, Oakley, Howard, etc
With the rumours about Waggy going to Bristol it will be interesting how much he plays tonight, he might play a full 90 and hopefully bags a few to help convice Bristol
Pantsil is right back and ball left back? Anyway, very poor result considering the players playing - shows our cpomplete lack of fire power!
