Bloddy hell Charlton after this win were up to 4th in the prem this year having thrashed Liverpool,Arsenal ,spurs and Chelsea.Ive just seen a docu on it on sky i didn't realise that was the first season for abramavich?Imagine if Charlton had pushed on further from that campaign and where they would be now as a club i would have said top 4 material at best but we had a board with no ambition but what a match though hope someone can link me the goals from that game on here
Saints vs Charlton at St Marys was a cracking game that season Jonno. Saints 2-0 up at HT and looking comfortable, 2nd half Scotty Parker scored two worldies. At 2-2 both sides pressed for the winner, which came courtesy of Brett Ormerod I believe; could have gone either way. Great game and one of the best atmospheres I can recall at St Marys.
^^^yes that game I saw as well brilliant parker though never forgiven him for walking out the way he did how many games did he play for them not many?he should have stayed at Charlton and would have become a legend overnight
Yeah, Parker got his move to the big time then went backwards Jonno. Happened to loads of players that have left Saints too - Wayne Bridge being the one that springs to mind. Went to Chelsea, sat on the bench, John Terry shagged his missus. Should of stayed on the South Coast Wayne.
Thanks for the video sorry been busy with my boys tipped all the lego on the floor spent last 2 hours tidying it up
