In my month or so on here, I've notice that a large majority of your posts are recycling tweets and stuff off 'newsnow' that 90% of people on here have already seen. I've also noted that you resort to foul-mouthed abuse when you lose an argument or get proven wrong. Feel free to log that one as an inaccurate claim if you wish, it's on the house.
This seems an appropriate time and place to ask people about the "ignore" option on here. Can anyone who's used it let me know whether it messes up the way the forum reads for them? Do you end up seeing just half of a lot of conversations?
City Man…. this is called a forum a place to share opinions. You'll get called all sorts, there'll be those that agree with you and those that don't. There'll be those that will look just for things that you post and disagree and asterisk you just for the fun of it. Don't lose sleep over it, if you believe in something say it but be thick skinned. We are all City supporters.
To be honest, if you get offended/pissed off by something on here said by somebody you've never met or even seen, it's your problem. Differing opinions are fine, but there's no need to be preachy or condescending toward people who support their team differently to you. If being an eternal optimist works for you then great. If you're a negative **** like me, then you're gonna have a different viewpoint. And that's fine too.
Whether we win or lose, half the fans love him and half want him out. What happens if we finish third and then muller Sheff Wed 6-0 at Wembley? Schedule doesn't look too kind over the next few weeks. Be interesting to see how much chopping and changing goes on.
Ooh. Stewart Lee is on iplayer. Suddenly my free time to come on here has gone for at least another week.
Do you still change your avatar to an obscure signing from the previous season? Who you having this season? N'Doye?
You still see stuff they've posted in other people's posts if they quote them. It does remove some noise I guess but I prefer to just scroll past the boring self obsessed posters I dislike and just ignore them that way.
After enduring a month of his arrogant condescending crap I've finally put him on ignore, and would strongly recommend that the many others who clearly feel the same way do exactly the same to save yourselves further aggravation. City Man clearly does not understand that this is a discussion board for all shades of opinion, and that it is not "counter-productive" or somehow lacking in "support" to comment critically on the managers tactics or team selection and player transfers. It is not a "knee-jerk" concern to express doubts about Bruces management capability after his disastrous failures in the second half of last season which contributed massively to our post-Christmas collapse and ultimately relegation. It is not a knee-jerk concern to worry about our lack of goals and losses to teams which are relegation fodder. It is not a knee-jerk concern to worry about our financial situation and future in the Championship if we fail to get promoted this year. For almost 70 years I have supported Hull City, and only Hull City. I watch every game, albeit in most instances with a delay on Tiger Player, and when in the Prem live on TV here in Canada. So I believe my comments, both positive and negative, are reasonably well-founded. I will continue to call it as I see it, without wishful thinking, blind optimism, or the innate pessimsism of a nearly 80-year old.
