See post you quoted. They now have the best home record in the league and the second best away record in the league.
They could well win it; second between us and Boro. Whoever ain't second will be in the mix with BHA, Derby and probs Wednesday.
Damnit all GLP . it's almost as if you want us to look bad and Burnley to look good... I've just wasted 5 mins of my life checking out your gloomy crap. I discovered as follows Burnley 4 points above us, played a game more. Despite us having played a game less, we have still played more away games than them. At home they have played 18, we have only played 16. They have lost 2, we have only lost one and have played all the top clubs here. They have dropped 12 points at home, we've only dropped 11. Away from home, we've played 18 they've only played 17. We've won 8, they've won 6. They've dropped 27 points, just like us. Burnley W6 D8L3= 26 points from 17 away games City W8 D3 L7 = 27 from 18 away games. Just can't see how you knicker-wetters get so glum.
Why is it taboo to be disappointed with dropping to fourth in the league, having blown the opportunity to stretch our lead and failing to score in the last 4 games? Why on Earth wouldn't you be a bit pissed off? You might be an eternal optimist, but you have to understand what's at stake here and this care free attitude of "oh it'll sort itself out" is really immature. Yes it's good to be a proper supporter and walk around claiming we're the best thing since sliced bread, but be realistic. Finishing in the playoffs isn't good enough because then our chances of going up are slimmer and not going up at all would be a disaster, given the quality we have and the money we have spent. People realise this, hence their anxious disposition. You don't have to get in an arse every time somebody criticises the team or Steve Bruce, they pay to watch the games so they are well within their rights to do so. If the team didn't win in this league and people were still happy, it'd be ****ing weird.
It was between us derby boro and brighton a few weeks back. Let's see where we are after the next 6 or 7
It's hardly knicker wetting. I just want us to win the title. I have seen us do almost everything else from almost go out of business to play in Europe to an FA Cup Final to almost go out of the league. Never seen us win a league title, probably like many others. It's something I think we have a better than ever chance of this season. We have the squad capable of it, except for up front, which has been our achilles heel for a while now. I am merely pointing out that Burnley are in a groove of not playing well and getting results, something I think they are quite capable of continuing to the end of the season, the form they are carrying certainly suggests that, particularly as to date they have only lost 5 league games. Player wise, it's just mystifying to me why we have signed some of the players we have when Gray was clearly a primary target, we were at the front of the queue. But because our owners wanted a buy one get one half price or whatever else they tried swinging into the deal, it's a bit frustrating. Instead we ended up signing players that to date have essentially looked a waste of money as we either don't play them or they simply don't look capable.
Pretty sure everyone on here wants us to win the title. It's clear Burnley are going very well right now, much better than earlier in the season. Who knows how long that will continue? One thing I don't get is how disappointment and frustration seem to mean attacking the manager/team. It's counter- productive to what everyone is aiming for. Maybe we sometimes have to accept that other clubs have better form than us, just as at other times they have worse form ?
I suspect that Dyche hasn't uttered the words 'that wont happen again.. it was one of those horrible days.. we didn't turn up.. we need to be more clinical in front of goal'… thats the frustrating thing City Man. The management team don't seem to have the ability to learn from mistakes and put them right. Christ, he wasn't sure of best team as recently as November. As a supporter, as I'm sure you are, I want promotion as I'm sure you do, but by this stage in the season, we should be rolling and we've parked our bus!!
Humour? You haven't posted anything humorous yet, in just over a month since you've joined, you've mainly just posted inaccurate claims about other posters.
It's not counter productive, it's a difference of opinion. No one is attacking the manager or team. I have simply questioned the wisdom of the signings we made and the ones we didn't. Well when you look at what we have tied up in players that never feature it's a bit mental - the priorities in my opinion were wrong. Why we signed a third keeper in January? Of course some clubs will always be better, I accept that. Christ I've seen us up and down the country when we were utterly ****e. It's not really counter productive it's a discussion board. Everyone will have a different opinion. Respect others as I am sure they respect yours - when you are not posting ****.
Are you really that ****ing stupid. I've just watched Pocchetino say he is very happy with a draw. They did well yadda yadda yadda Do you think thats what he means?? Dumb ****
Stupid…. if you wish Chazz darling… but at least I don't fall into the sad category of saving peoples postings and then recanting them months later, by copy and pasting them. Have a lovely evening with your cats..
