This is not going to end well....12 minutes of stress plus added time and we are hanging on for a draw against 10 men...and they'll do what they did to Leicester. ..cue all the bottler jokes....again!
2-2 FT. Bottled it. So disappointing. I thought that we lost our shape with the Lamela substitution and started trying to see the 2-1 out. Massive mistake.
They were miles better than recently and deserved what they got. ..we have run out of steam in my opinion...but it's hard to tell cos we have just played 2 London derbies which are difficult. Think they'll be far happier with a draw (quite rightly)...but Leicester wiil be over joyed as will city united and the others hoping someone in top 4 will slip up
Aston Villa and Bournemouth next - need to get 6/6 there and pick it up again. It's unlikely Leicester will win every game to the end of the season - 5 points can swing round quite quickly.
Exactly how I saw it. Lamela provided more energy than any other player. The moment he came off we went straight onto the back foot. He had a yellow, but he may be our most disciplined player and was no threat to get a red, IMO. I will note that for a few moments we were top of the league later than ever in the PL. Time will tell if that was anything like a broken duck, or merely set the stage for a bigger disappointment.
