We were both wrong about your debt - you said it was 0, I said it was £50M

    It's actually £68M <laugh>

Wrong again its not 68m or anywhere near it. 68m is losses brought forward since 2007. it is not owed to anybody, it is not debt

Has it been written off then or is it still in your accounts as a debt?

So if you sold Bamba for £70M it would just be offset against the losses - and not repaid yto the person who covered the losses?

You talk more crap than Evans <laugh>

    Exactly <ok>
And as he has said in the footnote, any profit they make in future will go to paying it off - therefore a fooking huge debt <ok>

Apologies in advance for wanting to talk about the upcoming football match instead of all this financial nonsense. Perhaps the do-badders could politely fek off to another non-footballing thread & leave this one alone.

Have to say that for once I'm delighted that Bellusci is once again available for selection. There was a time when I would rather have shot myself than said that.

I just can't make up my mind what the priority should be - getting Berardi back & firing on all cylinders, or continuing to play Coyle (at RB!!!) to further break him in & knock off some more of the rougher edges.

Having heard Bridcutt's proclamation this week that he'd be happy to sign for Brighton (or anyone else fitting his criteria), I'm now convinced that we signed Dave to replace him. We signed Bridcutt as a 'try before you buy', & it doesn't look like we'll be able to offer him what he wants. If we are seriously interested in buying him, we should be making him an offer now. If he turns it down, I think we should drop him & try out others from the 40%. Why play him if he ain't gonna be with us next season? Same goes for Antenucci. He's clearly already left us in his head.

I cannot believe for a minute that Wood is anywhere near a comeback. I would expect him to get at least 30 mins in for the u21s before he returned to the 1st team squad, and he hasn't. I think we might be getting strung along a bit on this one. Hopefully, I've got it completely wrong & he's (somehow) raring to go. :D

So another player sees us and decides no thanks. That's the problem with try before you buy. It's a two way street.
Now be careful talking about finances on this thread.

No its not debt its the amount of losses over a period of years, the debt has been paid but as a previous loss can be claimed against any future profit, its like having a tax allowance,we can make a £68 million profit before we have to pay any tax.Its almost like money in the bank,eg If Arsenal sell a player for £3 million they would have to pay 40% TAX think that's the high tax band,But if we sell a player for £3 Million we just offset it against our previous losses and pay no TAX.
