Provided we get promotion, we'll probably have less TV coverage next season as only interested in the big boys in any league. I'm away for this match and the Derby game in Australia so hopefully can find a place to watch it in the Sydney area - can you antipodeans suggest a good bar?
Hang on. We are unbeaten in four on the tv aren't we? Wednesday, Arsenal, QPR and Reading. Hardly a crisis!
This season: TV Games (League): Won 2, Drawn 3, Lost 1 = 1.5 points per game Non TV: Won 17, Drawn 4, Lost 6 = 2.04 ppg We do better when we are not on TV.
If like some people work gets in the way of football then when the fixture list comes out you see how many you may miss. If its worth it you then buy a season pass, then Sky change another five or so games and you miss more. I don't think asking for refunds for rearranged games is absurd, the rearranged ones are a change to the original published dates.
Its a valid point,. If a gig or a theatre performance moved dates after you bought tickets and you couldnt make it for the new dates then you'd get a refund, no questions asked.
Not if they told you before purchase that the date is provisional & subject to change. Happened at our game v Liverpool couple of seasons back. All approved by Hull's local trading standards office.
True but that's in the terms and conditions of buying the ticket for a gig or theatre performance. When you buy a ticket for a football game you are aware that the advertised kick off time is subject to change.
I'm not claiming we do perform better on TV, merely pointing out your stats are unable to prove that we don't. The sample size needs normalising for starters, plus they don't consider any externals (injuries, opposition, form...etc).
So why dont theatres and concert venues have that disclaimer? Is it called 'good customer relations' by any chance?
Well, for someone who never renewed their pass this season as a protest over the price, all these live TV games have been a godsend!!! Cue the abuse........sorry switching off, theres a game on TV dont you know.
