Why would you even get in this debate with Liverpool fan. They've never stopped spending and have nothing to show for it (except for one Champions League in 25+ years). Liverpool is the epitome of failure!

I think you'll find that most of us wouldn't even paint a picture than fourth is good right now. And the vast majority of us don't give a flying **** where Liverpool finish. The day we convince ourselves that finishing above Liverpool is the mark of a good season would be the day our club descended into accepting the kind of mediocrity that your lot have spent the last seven years claiming is 'progress'.
City City will get fourth but imagine if the Dippers got fourth and City/United didn't Pep and Jose in Europa League. Football belongs to Manchester!!!
That's not true for most on here. But you've probably not been following what's been posted on here for a while. Having said that, I'd say some are willing to accept a period without success provided we can see a clear direction in how we go on to develop the squad while also staying true to our style of football. Sadly Van Gaal has failed massively in the latter. The turjid football he served up was defended by the results, especially when he got us Top 4 but even back then many could see he was sucking the life out of our club with his approach to the game.
We may well get 4th but if that happens it would have been more luck rather than design. United getting the CL has been and still a long shot so there is no major expectation. Just hope that the players are more carefree. Mata and Herrera have to move the ball forward faster. And martial and Rashford need to strike an understanding. WBA will not be easy but if we take our chances we could have a surprise win even with a weakened team.
