Worse manager than Rodgers and makes a decent team flirt with relegation, but because he fluked a cup when he was at another club his failures are ignored

Klopp is overrated.

Almost got the 2nd best team in a two-horse race relegated. Bottled it and ran away. Took a year to recover from the #meltdown

OK so your manager is great and the players he's bought are great... yet you've gone from competing for 5th to competing for top half

 

You have gone from 2nd to competing for top half on a much bigger budget....keep digging that hole

 

Imagine that it would take:

• Sale of the best player in the league
• Long term injury of the second best player in the league
• Manager underpeforming to the point of being sacked midseason
• Backroom staff being replaced twice in a season
  
• Failure of transfer committee to acquire first choice options
• General misinvestment of hundreds of millions of pounds by transfer committee
  
• Disruption to the preseason, pitch and stadium due to ongoing development
  
• Disruption to atmosphere by Liverpool fans protesting ticket plans (to the benefit of the entire league)
  
• Worst squad injury crisis of any PL team
• Busiest schedule of any club in all of Europe
• This busy schedule coinciding with the bedding in of the new manager and the injury crisis

It took all this to bring us down to the same level as an Everton squad with a great manager buying great players, including having the alleged best young striker, midfielder and defender in the league. That is, if you also ignore that we got to a cup final and are still competing in Europe.
