Yes, all agreed and with this weekends results PISKIE is under pressure but don't worry The Gooners are good under pressure.

Yeah I heard that too :emoticon-0105-wink:

Its a shame Hiag bottled the initial suggestion.

If he had manned up, said yes, and Spurs won the league then that would be a genuine '1 up' over Piskie.

As it is its a little watered down.

Are Arsenal going to wobble? Can Spuds keep it up?

Going to be interesting to see.

There's no watered down version the loser has to go with the OP both agreed in the end.

I meant watered down in the sense he bottled the suggestion first time round.

  9. What are you blathering on about, man?

I didn't "bottle it" and there has been no "watering down."

Pixie tried to bottle it by insisting that he keep control of the avatar design, but that was rejected by the OP; and it was only when I jumped in bravely with both feet that Pixie gave up on the notion and accepted the wager as set down.

    Finally got a bite!

Initially you refused the suggestion and then changed your mind under pressure.

    It was very Steve McLaren.

  11. Originally, the suggestion seemed to be that the loser would have to give up their avatar forever, which would be utterly unacceptable to either Pixie or me. That is the only reason I refused, and I would refuse it again if offered.

As soon as it was made clear that the punishment would last for only one month, I jumped at the wager - as can be seen by simply reading back over this thread.

Pixie didn't accept until after I did.

    Those are the facts.

If there was any bottling going on, it was by Pixie.

Totally agree, only issue Hiag had was wether he would lose his avatar for good.

    I was there...I saw it.

I remember Sending Stan for some popcorn and also witnessed Fosse tying himself in a knot with his cardigan over the whole issue.

...as I recall it was HIAG tying himself in knots ... and with his half-and-half scarf ... half Totteringham and half some strange yellow and black check <whistle> ...

Spoken like a true bottler. The first comment on this thread was me accepting the challenge. The avatar 'mullet' comment was clearly too complex for your level of humour.

You spent 2/3 pages crying about your precious avatar and bottling the challenge until everybody embarrassed you into finally accepting it.

You only have to read the first couple of pages of this thread to see HIAG crying like a pussy and bottling this bet <laugh>

I accepted it on the very first comment. I should have expected the 'mullet' comment to be used as get out clause for HIAG.

    Yup, its true.

I remember being distinctly disappointed with the way he rejected the initial challenge.

    It was poor form.

In order to try and save some face he accepted the challenge after some persuasion from rival fans.

  20. Ahem!

This was post #43. I suggest you go and read it so that you can see what it was that Luvvy was replying to.

Never before has this site seen a poster complete so many multiple "ownings!"
