Must say I like Paul Jewell and his signings so far have been very very shrewd. I think Ipswich will be a tough act this season. Oh, and my old school mate (Tony Lauchlin) was Tractor boys assistant manager till he got sacked with Keano!

We cant be any worse than last year (unless we were playing on snow of course - sorry Burmese had to get that one in). Nobody is really talking about us, which is fine by me. When Keano was in charge, everybody was talking about us. We could be worth a sneaky little each way punt.

Even though I'm a Norwich fan, I've just stuck 100 quid on Ipswich to be promoted. Do east anglia proud!

I think they're definitely contenders. I still fancy us and West Ham for the top 2 but I don't think they're far behind.

Definately worth a shout at them odds. I think it will be 3 of Leicester, West Ham, Blackpool, Ipswich, Florist, Cardiff & Birmingham.

    They will be up there.

    West Ham
    Leicester
    Ipswich
    Birmingham

They are the top 4 teams to beat this year.

Nice to see others rating our chances - I don't think any of us will be rushing to rate our own though.

I've already done us at 20-1. I'm quietly confident we'll do well this season.

Got Norwich 14-1 e/w last season

    Forest 33-1 e/w season before.

Aiming for the hat-trick, really feel we're well in the mix this time around.

Funny enough, I was going to start a similar thread! I also thing Middlesborough will be worth watching.

I don't expect Forest and Cardiff to match previous performances though.

I think Reading will do OK again, I don't think Middlesbrough will do that well, top half but I can't see them improving enough for the top 6 - who have they bought?

Hull are my outside tip actually. Ended last season rather well, if they start this campaign better they could rather well....

My friend was at Bristol Rovers v Burnley the other day. Rovers won 2-0 and he said Burnley were truly horrendous. Since they may be selling Eagles + Mears. I think they look in a right old mess.

Leeds don't convince me one bit either.....

Agree that Forest could go well as could Boro. Boro have a good manager and will certainly be a lot better.

They havn't but towards the end of last season they looked solid again.

I think Mowbray has cleared the scottish garbage they signed and he is a quality manager.

Hull have signed players like Adebola and McKenna.

    Plus Bullard is going.

Leicester, WHU, Birmingham, Hull are my top tips this year, you can never under-estimate Big Sam, Houghton or Pearson.

Reading and Mid'boro will perform about the same.

Ipswich have improved, but dont think its enough for top 2.

Cardiff, Leeds and Forest wont match last years performances.

Pj is playing our chances down. I think we will go about our business and maybe surprise a few people, even some of our own supporters. It seems like we are going for the 'you score one and we'll score two' approach with our abundance of strikers and lack of defenders. It's a way of playing that's worked for us before and hope it can again.

    Strikers
    Chopra
    Ellington
    Scotland
    Priskin
    J.E. Thomas
    Ronan Murray

    Defenders
    Ingimarrson
    Delaney
    Smith
    Cresswell
    Kennedy
    O'Connor

6 strikers for 2 positions, 6 defenders for 4 positions and 3 of them are left backs and 3 CB's.
Maybe we should just play 2-4-4 and hope for the best.
