Yes he is good enough for a Prem club Ashtonmadness - Sorry but I don't think he is good enough at the moment or even a decent gamble following his injury nightmare last season. If he can stay fit and if he has a very successful season in the Championship and scores 20+ goals this time around, then maybe a Fulham or a Wigan will come calling, but at this point I don't see the any of the big boys being interested. I don't see Maynard being as much of a mercenary compared to some players, but it will probably still boil down to getting the best personal terms possible for him whatever league he plays in, and I actually can't blame him for that.
I agree with ashtonmadness, Fans have sympathy with a player trying to get the best deal as it is his job after all, but this has gone on too long. He should just make his mind up and sign up now. If no PL club is coming in and he doesn't see the point of signing for LCFC, the just sign on for BCFC for another year. It's now getting to the point where it's disrespectful to both clubs.
How is Nick Maynard being disrespectful to both clubs? Leicester continue to put in bids for a player under contract and you have been told now on numerous occasions we will not sell to a rival champ club, 3 or 4 times! Its your club being disrespectful!!!
No one is being disrespectful, what because we bid for a player that disrespectful. As things stand Maynard is a Bristol player, you lot own his contract and have every right to reject or accept bids for him. We have the right to bid for any player just like you do. Thats not disrepectful. Sven isnt in the media shouting about it.
That dont mean anything. Man U said the same thing about Ronaldo and look where he went. Not for sale just means you dont want to sell not that you wont. Just because you say that we keep bidding doesnt make us disrespectful. Its not down to either Bristol or Leicester where Nicky Maynard goes at the minute. The ball in firmly in Nicky Maynard court
If he doesn't sign his extension for us he'll be under pressure to score loads of goals as soon as the season starts. If he goes to LC then the pressure will aslo be on to justify his price tag. I think he will sit this one out, and see how we/he is doing in January.
Admittedly "disrespectful" is probably the wrong word. What I mean is that it will get to the point when if he signed for BCFC or LCFC it will be obvious that he didn't really want to play for either of us. I think he should just make his decision to stay and then we can all move on.
I think he will just sit out his contract and move to the Premiership next season, why move to LCFC and risk being signed to another four years in the Championship? Sure LCFC might go up and be sucsessful, but they might not, this time next year he will have the chance to go where he likes, why risk it?
We're in the box seat,he's been a Bristol boy for 3 years and we can match any pay offer any other Championship club will offer,he's just waiting to see if any Prem clubs come in or what the highest money offer elsewhere he gets and then we just match it with an opt out clause in case the prem come calling... Simple really,he's a clever fella...

I'm a Rovers fan but some of you Leicester fans are arrogant and thick. So the scenario is. " Hi Nicky, you don't know me from Adam, but just between you and me, are you going to Leicester or staying here?" "Well Joe Bloggs, don't tell anyone, but here's what's going to happen................"
i think what dont help is maynard himself. he needs to come out and say he is staying put or wants to go. easy as that. he owes it to city in my opinion. im sure millen wants the millions to use to strengthen his defence.
