tbh it was the refs fault. The goal should never have been allowed, and it was proved on match of the day with a sample of the fifa rules.
The ballon took all the pace of the ball in the match back then. Football is all about pace an how it changes and evolves
The referee failed to act on it. The play should have been restarted with a drop ball outisde the penalty area.
Didnt the ref federation or whatever say that when it happened, the ref should have stopped the game, popped the balloon, and tossed it out? And then a dropball, right?
