To an outsider it may appear we all hate each other and want to kill each other.

BUT nothing could be further then the truth.

I think Patty might be the exception.

All true, sadly, the ones that say to me that they can't be arsed to post, often state that it's largely because they've seen others receive abuse rather than debate for daring to question an opinion dressed as fact. Some of these are in a far better position to have reasonably accurate facts.

I only post if I can get a 'like' out of it, which I use on my CV.

    My GSD died in 1991.

    I miss her like crazy.

Best dog I ever owned and the saddest thing is I know I'll never have one like her again.

She was so intelligent and loyal, as well as beautiful and gentle.

The bloody stupid waste of space I have now couldn't hold a candle to her.

I tell him so all the time.

His self esteem must be rock bottom.

Amen to that. I've got a Golden Lab and he is stupidity personified. Good natured, friendly with everyone. The kids love him to bits, he's even called Chaz- the mrs thought it might help me bond with him- it hasnt. I still take him out in all weathers mind. But it just isnt there.

The main opinions you tend to hear from people are that if you want a laugh, try AN or CI, if you want news try this one but avoid the infighting and the 'pro name change' devil's advocate arsehole threads.
This was / is the only 'pro name change' forum, or rather the only forum with two or three posters who hate the CTID lot.

Well that's not been my experience. AN and CI are the epitome of cliques and old mates who quickly round up on anyone new daring to post a view or opinion. Unless you post the same opinion as them that is, then they might leave you alone.

Do you mean HCST when you say CTID lot? If so, you're wrong, no one hates them and they were CTWD. That's the first mention of them in fact in months. It's almost like there's nothing to protest about...

    :bandit:

You're right though, there's a more representative spread of views of our fans on this forum compared to AN and CI, are you one of those that this bothers?

I think this board is cliquey, like most boards are- it's laughable to pretend otherwise.
HCST/CTID/CTWD= yeah that lot who got together to oppose the name change. There's unfinished business there unfortunately.
Most forums seem to be for over 30 yrs males so the views on the City boards are more closer than people would like to think. CI and AN are older boards than this one and have reached a more advanced stage in their life cycle (form/storm/perform/plateau).
The young folk of today don't seem into the football forums- more Twitter, Facebook etc. Is it an attention span thing, or are they just out shagging and shining laser pens at police helicopters more?

Yes I agree there are cliques, on the other 2 sites, theres one clique, that's a huge difference.

Hate to break it to you but we have a good smattering of younguns on here too.

Hence why this forum is the best of the bunch. It IS representative, right down to a silent majority who don't post and us gobshites who talk loudly and mostly bollocks.

I'm 24 and have spent the last 10 or so years on forums and social media, I don't post much now, for one not having the same amount of time, I'm busy working and if I put a post up and it gets a few replies it may be a day or so till I have the time to reply which ruins the whole expirence, which can make the thread die and little point to revive it. I also feel I am definitely absorbing more now, whereas before I'd put loads out which was mainly bollocks put it was "cool" to do back in the day

    Sometime I post a lot
Sometimes I don't post for ages
I've analysed the stats and I appears that when I don't post for ages it's because I'm doing something else
    Hope this helps
