From Northern Echo: 'THREE of Sunderland's April fixtures have been moved to accommodate live coverage on Sky TV. The Black Cats' home game with title chasers Leicester City has been put back 24 hours and will now take place on Sunday, April 10 (1.30pm). The following weekend's trip to fellow relegation battlers Norwich City remains on Saturday, April 16, but will now take place at the earlier time of 12.45pm. Share article And the home game with Arsenal has been moved to Sunday, April 24 (2.05pm).' Good luck to any travelling to Norwich for 12:45!
This is the result of the TV money contract - makes football more accessible but not for the paying match day fans. Wait till next season as I 've an awful feeling we'll end up with TV football on a daily basis
Sadly the paying fan is rarely thought of in the modern game. Income from supporters is a minor part of club income and TV will always be the more important. But without it players like M'Vila and Khazri probably wouldn't be here
Is it just a feeling, or is it quite factual that SAFC away game early kick offs or Monday nights are always the likes of Norwich, Portsmouth or London, and never just ''down the road'' at Villa, WBrom or even Manchester ?
The Norwich away game is ALWAYS moved. I know this coz I live in Norfolk so it's the one match I can get to each year . Probably coz it's always a relegation 6-pointer
Selfishly happy with this. Would have missed the Arsenal game through work if it had stayed on the Saturday.
