- at least £10,000 raised to date from Charlton supporters - spent on beer mats and stickers - spent on Pinnochio masks - spent on one advertising hoarding in Anchor and Hope Lane [which Meire doesn't go past] - An order telling fans not to protest after the Bristol City game - the same day we went bottom - A "Twitter storm" last night which barely amounted to a faint gust of wind - A total failure to grow up and get serious & support adult protests
I'm going to give them a bit more time. I remember saying that about Roland too, but if they can come up with something for the televised match maybe it'll have some effect. There are plenty of ideas flying around, but a major problem is still the number of apathetic "customers".
They carry as much threat as a Corbyn trident submarine. It's a shame that the same 5/6 tired old faces can't let go. Ben Hayes is grooming that Joe chap into a younger, slimmer him - so it will be the same old with a young fan involved.
Have you seen the rumours on Twitter about CARD's idea for tomorrow "Three Little Pigs" Day FFS Duchatelet, Meire and Murray being the 3 pigs in question.....
Do wot?? I don't tweet! I hope it's not going to undermine tomorrow's protest, which I am looking forward to.
The South London Press are reporting today that CARD have organised a protest PRE kick off tomorrow ? Have I missed something?
If they are going to announce this at 12 o'clock tomorrow that's just plain stupid. Or maybe it's a double bluff to confuse our CEO and get them to bring in extra stewards and police for nothing. The 5 o'clock is the big one, I hope, let's hope that if we win the match we still get a big turn out.
Rick Everitt has updated that there are a "raft" of CARD initiatives in the pipeline, but that the big protest is at 5pm tomorrow CARD is holding over some ideas for the Boro game, now that it will get live exposure on Sky Sports Personally I am in favour of disrupting a game or forcing its abandonment What is the point of a staged walk out, when the stadium in question is already two thirds empty?
A walk out on a live game would be pretty damning. But I fear we won't get the numbers inside the ground - what with the disruption to travel and it being on TV. Sky have asked for an interview with KM or RM for the match - will let you know if accepted. Nothing of note will be said, of corse.
A walkout looks visually impressive when the stadium is full - Liverpool's recent walk out springs to mind. Lets be honest, our 'real' attendances are way below 10,000 now - the stadium is over 60% empty already.
Keep hearing this 'let's hope if we win we'll still get a big turnout', makes me laugh everytime. 7/2 not a bad price mind
A joke... simply due to telling fans not to protest at times... EVERY week lads, every week I'm there I protest (missing tomorrow though as Deadpool seemed far more appealing). If you go to the game there should be a protest, result or not, and not if CARD say so
