I've seen a few U21 games this season that Harrison has played in and there's a reason the club has given him a new deal, I think he's a very clever player and someone with a good future, can lead the line and drop deeper, has a great left foot and has the tactical nous to play in team mates that are in better positions, I'd happily see him lead the line, just don't think it'll happen.
To add onto my previous post, I think we'll see Harrison feature at some point this season, just like CCV. Poch has mentioned him in interviews (also mentioned Kaziah Sterling) as to reasons why he didn't feel short in the striking department. For what it's worth, although very briefly, from what I've seen of Ryan Loft he could also be a handful and one to watch, was second highest scorer last season for the U18s and he was a first year player, got a hattrick earlier in this season against Norwich and then also scored against Norwich U21s after he came on as a sub. Seems that a number of the strikers in the ranks are looking to be the next Harry. Bloody love this conveyor belt of talent we seem to be producing, couldn't have come at a better time either what with the new stadium round the corner, I'd like to think that's playing as a big factor for many of these young lads to perform too, as they'll not only want to prove themselves as all young players do but with the likelihood of us not spending much over a number of windows we're going to need to rely on promoting through the youth and therefore the chance to be featuring for the club in it's early stages at the new stadium must be a real ambition for the youngsters. McGee, Walker-Peters, CCV, Winks, Onomah, Oduwa, Edwards, Harrison, Sterling, Loft, Bennetts could all be players playing first team football (or at least involved in the first team) at the new stadium in a few years.
"We speak to, again, the quality staff. People like Paul Mitchell, John McDermott, Dean Rastrick. We deal with the club and the people (there) are all in tune. It is one consistent message that you ever hear coming out of the club and again it speaks volumes for their ethos and philosophy. "We have always been impressed by that. Impressed by the way that players arrive at Rangers. Their conduct and manners, their professionalism, their desire to work hard. It speaks volumes for Tottenham Hotspur." This is Mark Warburton, Rangers' manager's view on our Academy having worked with Oduwa, Ball and Pritchard in the last 2 years. He's a quality act and if M.Pochettino ever walked in front of a bus then we'd be pressed to find a better man.
If you listen carefully, you can hear the Standard writing yet another poison pen article about Bentaleb being sent to the cornfield. Also...
You might argue the toss with Walker and Son, but that's basically the strongest team we have available. I hope we win. Our squad is starting to appear a little on the thin side.
