Seeing that a slight mishap in pronouncing N'Zogbia as Insomnia was enough to rile him and ask for a transfer, what do you think he'll make of this comment by his potential new manager:

Go on Charlie. Tell the Vile ones to do one for this defamation of your undoubted talent.

    "He's an explosive player"

I think it's been blown up out of all proportion.

  3. He's not anywhere as good as either Young or Downing

He is better than downing. He scores more goals, creates more goals & has bags of skill and pace. Downing is ok but nowhere near the standard of N'Zogbia IMO.

He very much is, the stats proved that last year. What they also proved is that he is a totally different player to Downing and Young. Dowing and Young are players who like to go wide and get crosses in both before and after beating a man. There games are all about crossing. N'zogbia on the other hand is more about going on mazy runs, beating players and not always going outside to get a cross away but also coming inside to get a shot away. This is reflected in his superior goal and dribble ratio that the 2 other players mentioned!!!

N'Zogbia would win hands down if I were too choose between him or Downing in the team. Wouldn't have to think twice.

n'zogbia is better than downing, ashley young is probably a more complete player if you get what i mean. if n'zogbia worked on his workrate such as tracking back and helping out more in midfield hed be a hell of a player, hes a good player now but he is very much an individual and very selfish player. brilliant at times but is very frustrating, rarely chooses the easy option.

Personally I rate N'Zogbia as much as I do Young and much more than Downing!

It showed on Sky Sports News that Downing creates a hell of a lot chances than N'Zogbia

He'd likely still be a Newcastle player if for reasons of 'detente; ate' humble pie... <whistle>

Downing > N'Zogbia for me. Playing with Best and Ba up to we'd need someone to get the ball on their head. N'Zogbia isn't the man to do this, what happened to all the talk of Barnetta? Would much rather him here

I know this is a thread about N'Zogbia, but does anyone else think Young is overrated. Now don't get me wrong he is a good player, but I just don't see what the major fuss is about him.
