Heard this new tune on the old radio the other day an instantly liked it;One of the main reasons was it has a good old guitar riff and its not some cheesy manufatured pop ****e that they always seen to play.
Those tory toffs would be funny if they weren't in positions of influence - nowhere in Europe would you find such a concentration of idiocy
Sometimes I can be very emotional, and sometimes videos from youtube can bring tears to my eyes - tears of joy or laughter or, in Desert Orchid's case, of admiration. But this video brought tears of shame and sadness to my eyes. It was filmed in Clausnitz, a small village south-west of Dresden where a bus full of refugees arrived this week to be housed in a specially-built shelter. As the bus arrives, it is met by an angry crowd yelling "Wir sind das Volk" - translated as "We are the people". The irony of this is staggering - this very slogan was chanted by East Germans during repeated demonstrations in Leipzig every Monday evening, demonstrations which ultimately led to the fall of the Berlin wall. Now this chant has been adopted by right wingers to demonstrate their anger at the mass-immigration into Germany. Politically ostracised, they do what they do best and intimidate a busload of women and children. Why the word "Reisegenuss" - roughly translated as "pleasure trip" is displayed on the front of the bus is a mystery. At about 8 seconds in a young boy is forced off the bus by officials with tears in his eyes, the look on his face is dreadful and prompts the same reaction in me. A symbol of the utter failure of highly paid politicians to deal with situation. Nice one Mrs Merkel.
You most certainly would if you looked at some totally bonkers things the EU has put into law. All countries have their fair share.
The £ sterling will certainly bounce back, probably by the end of the week. If it does not then the positives are we can export more, and shares go up. If we are out the EU and it does drop, and it wont be by 20%, we will be free just like the Swiss (who have more world wide trade deals than us due to not being in the EU as they set up their own) the economy will be just fine.
Yes, Oddy, saw it on DW. Pretty bloody awful, must say. The regime here and the EU have both lost control of the situation, in fact they never had any control. Things are really bad and I think they're going to get worse before better? It seems to me too, that the UN and the USA could hardly care less.
House of Commons, 22nd February 2016: The Referendum is definitely ON – the necessary Statutory Instrument has been laid before the House under the Representation Of The People Act. The draft ballot paper has been released, no trick question: Remain or Leave. Addressing the House, David Cameron claims to be campaigning for “an even Greater Britain in a reformed EU”. Reformed? He is kidding himself. He cannot reform The Project. It is heading for the cliffs. ETON + OXFORD = HOPELESSLY DELUDED TOFF TURNED LEMMING. Guess that depends on your definition of “improvements”. He asked for virtually nothing and got less than he asked for in a temporary format that the EU can virtually tear up on 24th June if the vote is to stay in.
I was told last week to short the Pound Sterling as it can only lose value between now and June, even though the markets agree with the bookies that the “In” camp will win. Exports will be cheaper – although half of Europe is skint so it will not help much there – but imports will be more expensive. Dearer imports could fuel inflation, so there might be some good news for UK plc.
He was forced to include the Referendum commitment in the Tory Manifesto by his backbenchers so his interest in reforming Europe is extremely shallow because it would not be in the top five issues at any British election. If half of Syria were not going to be walking all over Europe this summer, he would have waited for September but the migrant crisis only plays for one side in this debate. Even if the deal gets ratified unadulterated, it is pathetic. Virtually all of the fiscal measures have time limits and the ‘red card’ is almost as worthless as the existing veto system because we do not have enough like-minded friends in Brussels to use it.
I am disgusted with greedy people who would short their own currency when millions of their own people would possibly suffer because of such an action. Prime example of avarice.
Does anyone value progress or is it all about nostalgic false memory - them good old days......? We are in a fading economy that has continually failed to invest hence the manufacturers are a mere twenty per cent - the so called service sector is built on sand - all utilities controlled by outside interests low wages and insecurity of employment - compare that to Germany ,..........
Careful - some would have you in the tower for talk like that. Anyway, have you not heard? Once we leave the EU the streets will be paved with gold, England will win the world cup and you'll get a government funded blow job off of a nubile 22 year old every week...
Germany the country that is owed a fortune from countries that are stone broke and they have to subsidise them on top of that. The country with untold social problems due to Merkel inviting half the worlds trash in that is going to get manifestly worse in the summer. Germany that is passing off it old folk off to Bulgaria, Romania, Poland as it is cheaper to care for them there. Sounds lovely. We are the 5th/6th/7th biggest economy in the world depending on what stats you believe, we will have no problems in or out the EU moving forwards.
What is quite funny is that we are only having this referendum because Dave wanted to quieten down division within his own party so offered it to them to be quiet. Now the referendum is creating more division within his party. We could be taken out of Europe because of internal tory politics ultimately as that is the only reason a prime minister of this country called a referendum.
