Thata rule got abolished straight after we qualified via that route. You have to win it now. That's why the abhorrent lack of respect shown the competition by Bruce is even more criminal, we'll likely never qualify again.
I think wenger has just complimented us? He said " it's easy getting the players up for barca! But it's harder getting them up for the hull game! When they had to show more urgency! " Or maybe he was saying we're **** & the players couldn't be arsed?
Yes. Nothing official but the talk from the national media after the game on Saturday was that the weekend of the 6th round/qtrs.(12/13 march) would be most appropriate to both clubs. Also the semi's are not until the weekend of 23rd april so enough time to catch up with the game v Watford whoever makes it through, But as yet nothing had been officially confirmed....................YET.!!!!!!!!
Chapman was getting slaughtered on twitter yesterday for those comments. Complaints have also gone into the BBC about Mark Chapman and his unprofessional manner.
A bit of tongue in cheek complaining to him on Twitter is one thing, but formally complaining to the Beeb is another. Ridiculous overreaction to something said unscripted on live tv.
He dealt with it very well on Twitter, he apologised immediately and after a few tweets about LA's, Tower and Bun In The Oven, he had everyone back on side.
Totally agree some of our fans just love getting offended Who gives a ****e anyway what the media say.
It was not said tongue in cheek it was said in a presumptuous and unprofessional way. Maybe a slight overreaction but even some neutrals have complained. At least Alan Shearer corrected himself.
So what ? The bottom line is that he messed up on live tv. It is easy to see why some complained. He should have said ""Watford will be going to either the Emirates or the KC stadium in round 6"". For the record I could not care less what Chapman said either way. However, he went way too far by mentioning "Bun in the Oven". No need for that at all.
Matt Dean @mattdeanradio #hcafc are still in talks with all affected clubs over a date for their #FACup replay with #Arsenal. Not expecting an announcement today.
Where would this leave the 6th round? There's be no time to organise ticketing and travel, tickets for either ours or Arsenals current games on that weekend will have been sold and travel and hotels booked. Both teams will change the entire 11 anyway so we should just cram it in anywhere asap and get it done with.
