"2.35 Goodwood: YASEER 20/1 e.w- Fell short of high hopes in the Dante when last of 6 behind Carlton House, but before that was a staying on third in the Craven Stakes won by Native Khan. The step up to 10f now on his second try........." TopClass: Shouldn't that be..."step up to 12f..."??? (Excellent post and summaries by the way!)
CYCLONIC WAKEFIELD AWARDED SUPER LEAGUE LICENCE FOR NEXT 3 YEARS GET IN !!!!!!!! So so happy To make it on topic Info = 2:15 Bev - Ghala
Away from Goodwood 2 catch the eye of reasonable good marks but it is their good recent course form at tricky Beverley that i like: EW Double on Toto Skylachy 320 and Kyle of Bute 535. If the first does not win a single on the 2nd Where's Nass gone? Hope his highlighters have not exploded over his keyboard
Just one for me today which I have backed yesterday evening at 5/1: 2:35 Goodwood - Slumber (Great fan of trainer Barry Hills - trained that fine racehorse Haafhd 2003/2004 - but not so much son Michael Hills, just hope the jockey can get the job done today!).
Can't believe no-one has put up Slumber in the 235 Goodwood so I will do so. Each way bet to nothing at 9-2 (favourite looks likely tbh) and he was massively unlucky last time out. NAP Slumber 9/2 ew
Fantastic news Cats. It came as a real surprise to me that the Super League had this sort of power. I just took it for granted that the clubs were there for good, set in cement, as our clubs are. We've had clubs go, but usually only when the competition is being restructured or a club goes to the wall. I suppose it keeps the respective clubs on their toes. I've been a semi interested follower of Super League for years, but have only kept an eye on teams with profile Oz players. But since the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats came into my life...I'm a fan. Go the Cats. Fingers crossed for next season. It will be interesting to see in which direction the club now moves.
One for Danbo!! Scotch Warrior out in the 20.40 at Perth. Beat our Chappie at Perth a good 25L. Course specialist. Looks to have a chance. I will also be backing Supercede in the same race and covering the r/f just in case.
Cracking little race that 8.40 at Perth the don - I think Sun Tzu may have 1 more win in him before the handicapper gets him.
Cracking to watch, nightmare to bet in!! Especially hard with two of my favourite horses I always put money on (stupidly) entered. Both Scotch Warrior and Supercede have brilliant course form and Sun Tzu won its only race at Perth. If I could back a tri cast i would as am confident these will make up the first three. Something has been going on with Supercede im sure. Seems to have been dropped right out the back and not asked to do anything on its last two races. It's a very good horse that jumps well. I follow it very closely after my biggest ever bet on one horse on him a while back and have been a bit perplexed by recent performances. Im pretty sure at some point it will bolt up unless the horse has been injured or something which i havnt seen. Elliot loves invading Perth so wouldnt be surprised if it was today.
todays NAP is 2.10 Beverley Ghalaa go with rest of win lucky 15 2.00 Goodwood All Action 7.05 Perth Tae Kwon Do 7.25 Worcester Mumbles Pier
Absolutely right Filon, sorry about that it was getting late when I was posting the write-up haha. Hoping he might excel over the middle distances. Fingers crossed.
Thanks for marking these up GDC - I had not even glanced at any other card than Goodwood to be fair but have seen both these run well lately. I may well follow you on these pair with Dark Spirit in the 2.45.
Afternoon all, no bets for me today (if at all this week!) but just wanted to remind folks of the word I was given before FIORENTE's run behind Nathaniel at Ascot - allegedly Ryan Moore got off him after his Newbury win and said "he's the second best horse in Stoute's yard". Also, I don't know if this was out in the public domain at the time (though I did post about it), but FIORENTE skinned his leg in the horsebox on the way to Ascot and it was touch and go if he would run at all. Not a bad run for a horse that was not 100%! I shall now sit back and wait for that statement to blow up in my face!
The Don Had a word from Brian Hughes, thinks he has a great chance of a double with Goldies 1st 2 at Perth and a each way squek on the one in the last race
