    i think this makes sense mayb ash has been on not 606 reading that most of us want to keep joey barton at the club as our RM this year. this is because he can 'put in a decent cross' without nolan and carrol barton is wasted in RM, so we sign a player to get on the end of his crosses :). peter crouch is perfect for this.

    by the way i dont think JB should be our RM he has a lack of pace and hes quality in the center of midfield, he was important this year because he had carrol to aim at in the box, barton is brilliant at passes at all ranges and i think he would be better suited to playing in his usual CM role. our right side is weak of pace anyway compared to our left. a team with a decent left side would tear simmo and barton up for pace.

    I wouldn't mind him here to be honest. Always thought he has been unlucky with the chances that he gets....certainly hasn't played week in week out for a long time.

    GBM - I think you are right - I am not PC biggest's fan but he is better than what we have got and he scores goals! £9m though is difficult to believe!

    no resale value in crouchy at his age especially at 9m. so i doubt ash would go for it unless we were desperate
