I always enjoy going to this match. Don't enjoy the match because we get tanked, but enjoy going with my Fulham mate. After the match I expect he'll be saying something like "Tough luck old boy, you played pretty well right up until that goal of Parker's just before half time. You were still in the game right up until the 80th minute but McCormack's 2 goals in the last 10 minutes flattered us a bit". Always very sympathetic is my mate. Jose Riga will also be saying we deserved more.

Damn it, I almost finished off my review... Needed to add in the stats, and some info on the opposition. Still going to put it on here.

I've gone for a 4 - 0 loss. Dembele and McCormack are going to tear us a new one. They beat a QPR side away 0-3 from home, that's worrying.

Plus they need some wins to avoid the drop pack

Sorry, China, Keep going with yours, I though I'd try and get something going, but yours is obviously a proper thread. SuperC, feel free to git rid of mine when China's appears.

The excitement will be in the players we've signed and where they will play. Sanogo sounded as if he had an okay start, which given his recent game time, is a nice surprise. Lookman for me can have a rest on the bench as he's been asked to do a job and a half. No news about Igor, but we should have players availableto at least put out a team who can legally enter the ground. How we play..... well from Rotherham to Bristol City was a light years distance. I honestly don't think there is a huge amount of quality in this league outside the top couple, and I'm sure I saw Fulham got beaten by Blackburn on tuesday. But we are crap. I hope we win despite the fact I believe the club needs rid of the Belgians. But i thought a way back we were down. A win might just kindle hope which will get urinated on next week.
    Fulham to win 2-0.

Some have been saying for years that Jacko's legs have gone, but now it's pretty unanimous. A few months ago I was shouting for his recall to the team under Luzon, but now I think the midfield will be more energetic with Ba, if not more skilful. When he's fit again Riga has to work out a role for him. I'd like to see him as manager next year under new owners.

Making my first away day of the season tomorrow.
Likely to be a defeat, probably 4-1, McCormack getting a couple

    Fulham vs. Charlton Athletic
    Date: Saturday, 20th February 2016
    Kick Off: 3:00pm
    Venue: Craven Cottage

The Addicks make the short 13 mile trip up river to opponents Fulham, in a fixture which previous years would have seen us sell out the away end in hours (look back to our FA Cup Tie under Chris Powell), however if you have not yet secured your place tickets in the away end will be on sale. More shambolic occurrences in our club continue; during a minutes applause and tribute to former player Graham Moore to the image of Alan Campbell on the jumbotron and signing yet another defender Yun Suk-Young most likely to replace out of form Morgan Fox. In a week in which we saw Roland Duchâtelet make a rare visit to The Valley, not for viewing one of our games, but to try to "speak reason" to the fans protesting against his regime. It seems that the general consensus is not buying into his words, and it has this fan thinking it's time for him to sell up and leave, irrespective of what he personally believes.

We head into this game, with a small resurgence in form (and a tonne of injuries) but with our opponents around us winning, little will do to move us out of our league position. The bottom three that you will most likely be the relegation three come 2nd May 2016. We had a chance to close the gap with the pack, with a win against Cardiff City but now with our goal difference, find ourselves effectively seven points from safety...

    The Opposition
Manager Slaviša Jokanović has recently taken over the helm at Craven Cottage, having a successful spell at promoting Watford FC to the premier league the season before. The Serb has had quite a indifferent spell at the club, though it's too early to monitor his impact upon the team. He'd no doubt been signed with the view of turning fortunes around for the club next season, and has recently re-signed experienced international Chris Baird on loan from Derby County. They have had two contrasting weeks, with a stunning 3 - 0 away victory at rivals QPR, with a poor performance against Blackburn Rovers losing 3 - 0. With players like Dembélé and McCormack and a game with second from bottom Charlton, Jokanović, is hoping to put some distance between Fulham and the relegation pack.

    Current Form
    capture form.PNG

Our form and theirs is equally bad at the moment, but I don't think that much should be taken away from. Fulham do not concede as many goals as us and have scored more considering four of our five away goals came from one match, and have accumulated a string of 3 - 0, 4 - 0, 5 - 0 and 6 - 0 losses. What the opposition have is goal scorers, and against the leagues most leakiest defence we could be staring at another heavy defeat.

    Head-To-Head
    Capture head.PNG

We have to go all the way back to 20th December 2004 when we last registered a win against Fulham FC, our goals coming from Jerome Thomas and Talal El-Karkouri. Those days in the Premier League seem a somewhat distant memory. The best we have mustered in recent times have been two draws, both at The Valley, in both instances coming from goals down, McCormack scoring in both them games. We succumbed to a 4 - 0 defeat during a sold out FA Cup match, however Powell can be forgiven considering we won the League One title that year against then Premier League opponents. During last season we experienced our first league defeat against Fulham as Bob Peeters team put up more of a fight in the second half to reduce the arrears, with former Addick Scott Parker finding his way onto the scoresheet in just six minutes.

    Club Updates

    Team Lineup
Not quite sure where to start continuing on from the press conference. Some of the key points to take out is that our long list of injuries continues, and that the loan players that we are signing are certainly not up to standard and they themselves are currently injured. The most logical line up; with what we got would be something like:

    Outcome
Both teams have appalling form at the moment, but I believe that Fulham have more quality, experience and a more apt manager to see this game out. We may not see the 5 - 0 or 6 - 0 maulings of recent times, but this will most likely be a high scoring game for the home team. If we don't lose 4 - 0, I'd consider ourselves lucky.

    As always, #SupportTheTeam #HateTheRegime. #COYR #COYA

Twenty minutes gone in three cup ties, seven Championship matches, and five Scottish Premiership matches, and not a single goal scored. Football is driving away the fans.

We could have had a great start to the season - be 8 clear and I'd still bet we'd go down.

The line up was baffling. Harriott left the stadium last week before KO apparently as he wasn't in the squad. This week he is in it.

I guess those spare games in Rigas last run were the difference.

I was there today. Two words to sum up our performance - "extremely poor" :emoticon-0130-devil:emoticon-0130-devil:emoticon-0130-devil

For the first half we hustled and bustled and created a couple of half chances, they scored a soft goal from a corner just before half time and BOY did our heads drop ! Second half was simply pathetic...another soft goal from another corner [free header?] followed by a third when we failed to close down a long shot. A lot of our fans left after that, some of those who stayed tried to invade the pitch and there were scuffles in our end with the stewards and the police.

I have to say on today's showing I am starting lose faith in Riga already. That is 3 very poor, gash performances in a row with no goals scored. You are not going to score many with a striking partnership of Makienok and Harriot, which we had today. And what were Riga's subs about FFS? Lookman brought on with the game already lost, and Solly in central midfield <doh>

We are all but down. We have some very hard fixtures coming up, and it was clear from the player's body language today that far too many of them have given up- why not, after all they won't be here after the summer. Particular shame goes to JBG who has basically nicked his wages all season.

God help us in League One next season, the prospect is frightening. The Club will need its Selhurst-era diehards more than ever.

    Today's player ratings:

Henderson 6 - no chance on the goals

Fox 5 - skinned a couple of times as usual

Solly 5 - not captain material FFS

Lennon 6 - decent enough, hard job with Dembele

Teixera 6 - decent again but no world beater, will he fancy League One though?

Poyet 1 - shocking, a passenger, the game bypassed him, hardly touched the ball. Where has the player gone?

Ba - MOM -7 Best game I have seen him play for us

Bergdich 4 - floats like a butterfly and stings like one, too. Hopeless

Makienok 3- got plenty of stick in our end today, horrible player

Harriiot 1- that miss from 8 yards at the end sort of summed up his career....

JBG 0 - disgrace to the shirt

Finally...Sue Parkes was sitting in her usual place at the front of the team bus today <cheers>

Pretty well doomed on this showing. The Riga bounce has gone flat. A pretty even game until the goal, then it was game over. The difference in signings tells the story- we had Poyet who has hardly played and had zero impact on the game, then brought on Raging Bullshit (ditto). The rest of them were either unfit, injured, on the bench or all three. Fulham by contrast signed one player, Chris Baird, who came on at half time and controlled the midfield. And Roland, 6 crocks cost more than one good player. Unless we learn how to defend a corner L1 will be a nightmare, and the manager has to take responsibility for that.
On the positive side, the anti-Roland songs were loud and clear for most of the match, even at 0-0.
