I like Jajamcool 100/30 in the last at Sandown. He ran well behind Sunshine Corner who runs in the grade 2 earlier in the card. He is back up in trip which may get more out of him.

Loose chips came good this time last year and looks to be be back to a more respectable grade. 7/1 looks an easy prices to take on punts with.

    Most important to me are:
    • is it the sort of race where the best horse should win
    • what appears to be the best horse in the race
    • having established that, how many other horses in the race seem to have a decent chance of beating the selection
    • in deciding above discount horses proven not to act of the ground/over the course/over the distance
    • is the provisional selection improving
    • are any other horses in the race improving and if so how feasible is it that they can overcome the gap
    • is the horse/jockey combination proven to be successful
    • if not is the change of jockey likely to bring about an improvement
    • does the selection look fit to run well

Yard and course form is where I start Boily.Trip and and ground also important. I wouldn't normally be to hung up on jockey bookings but I would be nervous having Spoofer and Ruby riding anything at the minute!!

I see Miss Pendlebury is opposed by the horse named after the chap I used to go to school with – Wiffy Chatsby. Seem to recall he was a forum favourite a few years back – the horse that is not the chap I used to go to school with. Incidentally, Wiffy Chatsby to me always sounds like a character from a PG Wodehouse novel and a total rotter of a one to boot!

I think the whole Misss Pendlebury saga is a total non story and can’t see why she just couldn’t have gone down the ‘Labour Exchange’ and got a proper job after bike riding. ‘The Guardian’ newspaper though do seem totally besotted by her and have been talking about little else racing wise for the past couple of months.

    Boil,
I take a look at C&D form, alongside Last TIme Out and yard form, first.
The phrases "up in trip for handicap debut" and "loves it around here" have been useful for me.
Next, I always have a little look at http://www.attheraces.com/predictor, if I am 100% honest, though only for initial pointers, I still tend to make up my own mind.
Of course the obvious thing we all use, which we have forgotten, is the knowledge of our fellow forum members!

I say old boy, you're not, by an amazing twist of fate, my wife are you? Whilst perusing the gee-gees over my morning cuppa this AM I remarked to said spouse: "There's a horse running today called Wiffy Chatsby, always reminded me of some character from Jeeves and Wooster". And then you go and post that. Spooky.

By the way, if you are my wife, the dishwasher needs emptying <ok>

Oddy, can comfirm that I’m not Mrs Oddy nor have I got your house bugged. As I believe an accused Chav would say when innocent, ‘Honest, guv, I ain’t’.

Mr Henderson’s My Tent won’t run in tomorrow’s ‘Kingwell’, people. The plan now is to go straight to Cheltenham and the Champers Hurdle. The reason given is the ground at Wincanton but I’m pretty sure the real one is that Mr Henderson fears very, very much that My Tent will ‘bounce’ in the big ‘un if he runs the horse tomorrow (something he spoke about a fortnight ago). He’s got the horse back so seems a sound plan to me. The great man is more than capable of getting a horse ‘match fit’ on the gallops at Seven Barrows and via a racecourse workout or two. Plus not running him, of the morrow, eradicates the whole ‘bounce’ worry.

Found an interesting little stat. Only 2 of 48 runners who won at southwell went on to win next time out at Wolverhampton (air of york and heavens eyes).

Englishwoman may be worth taking on.

Rampers finished 3 3/4 length behind her last time and gets 12lbs.

Serious and sincere question to Sir Barney, "Do you actually know and talk with Mr. Henderson?" If you do, I owe you countless apologies for some of my inappropriate remarks, but, if not, where on earth do you get all this quick and confidential-looking information. I cannot believe it is the weekly rag "Weekender" or whatever it's called? All I ever got from that bloody thing was dirty hands from the print.
