This is an old thread about an old topic and a player that with seen get injured over and over. It's hardly going to change after one game! Would you suddenly think Benteskey or Balotelli were the greatest thing since sliced bread if they happened to have a good game?
I think Sturridge is a fantastic player. Best player in our squad. I think he's a really nice guy to boot. Not your usual pro-athelete arsehole. That said his "injury" record is a bit laughable and free-game for jokes.
Stay fit rest of season ....great. Gets another long term injury he can limp off or give him to the local abattoir
so then to those that had enough of sturridge prior to yesterday....thought you'd have learn your lesson against soton...we need quality strikers at this club to perform well benteke is useless, there is no point in him, when we plays it's like an obstacle we have to play around.
We desperately need a fit Sturridge to see out the season. However, I'd say we've more chance of bringing back Suarez on a free this summer than we have of Sturridge lasting the rest of the season without "injury". Definitely our best forward and one of best in league but he's unfortunately glue now.
