Just read the Guardian article and i find it bizarre that he did what he did. Why do that on social media and then profusely apologise, what did he expect was going to happen? Not many top clubs will want to take him after making homophobic slurs, especially on social media and to the boss. There is no escaping that!

And supposedly Mourinho at United - though I am taking these rumours with a pinch of salt until more solid reports come out!

That's true, but if they do make the move, the League will have 4 of the very best, young managers in the world.Just a random question, do you think Wenger has a realistic chance of winning the league with Pep, Maureen, Simeone and Klopp all in the Premier league?

Probably not, but can you imagine the media if he did manage it? All of those "top" young managers being beaten by the old voyeur. now that would be something to see

Neither do I but it certainly would go down as his best ever title win. I can see the Premiership regaining it's foothold on Europe again, as they've been looking poor in the Champions league for quite some time.

Very unlikely imo, I do think that Wenger should be looking to step down after this contract and hand over the reigns to someone. I do think Mourinho will be a very poor fit for Man U and in the long term will be a disaster, but in the short term he could very well win something with them. While I think Wenger has done some very good things at Arsenal and done far better over his career than some give him credit for, I don't think he'd be able to fight off all four of those managers - 3 of whom with vastly more money, at the same time.

I was with you until then. We have enough financial power to produce a team that can win the league period, so I'm not sure why you and a few others keep on bringing this. Thanks to Wenger, he has made Arsenal a financially powerful club, as demonstrated by us buying three back to back marquee elite players in the world.

As for Maureen, I'm not so sure he'll be a disaster. He has one of the best track records in world football and I won't discount him being a success at United. He has won the league with every team he's come to manage and let's not forget he did it again with Chelsea last season.

I agree that mourinho is still a very good manager, which is why i think he will do very well in the short term with united, especially with their buying power. I just don't think they/their fans will put up with the negative football and bull **** he continually brings for the long term

The reason i talk about finances is that although, thanks to wenger, we are now at the top table and can afford top players like cech, ozil, sanchez, imo united, citey, Chelsea are at that level above where they can afford to miss out on cl football and still blow a quarter of a billion, or spend £200m on players like de bruyne, Otamendi, sterling, bony mangala ect and still have the ability to go out this summer and blow everyone out of the water. I don't believe we are there yet

Mmmmm not sure they can blow us out the water anymore and besides, Wenger's name and Arsenal are very attractive propositions for any elite players. The problem is we are still being restricted by Wenger and his need to restrict his own spending. But his lack of ruthlessness with clearing out the squad and hesitance in the market has reduced his chances of winning the title for a number of seasons. But that's his decision and it will come to bite him on the backside when this will be his last realistic season of winning the title.

What do people reckon about the rumour that we are in for Carrick?

Personally I think it's a load of balls and that Carrick would be ready to retire at the end of the season as his body is crocked, unless he steps down to a less physically demanding league.

Pointless signing. Why sign an over the hill, injury prone player? We'll be off loading a few over the hillers this summer and the last thing we want is to bring one in.

Zlatan is available on a free in the Summer. Worth the wages surely? (United being linked)

He may be 34 but he's still scoring close to a goal a game.

Henry is claiming Ibrahimovic wants to join Arsenal next Season.

    Snap him up Arsene.

    Soo strikers for the Summer:

    1. Ibrahimovic. Ok so he's 34 but the ridiculous quantity of goals he is scoring just shows he has a few years left. No transfer fee but high wages.

    2. Lukaku. Still a youngster and now the bookies favourites for the golden boot this Season. 6'4 of muscle the guy would certainly give us both goals and that formidable element we are missing.

    3. Cavani. Having to play second fiddle to Ibra at PSG the guy has been consistently better than 1-2 goals throughout his career. Hardworking and technically superb.

    4. Higuian. Just a straight up poacher. Wouldn't give us that much in the way of workrate and holdup play but he will always score plenty of goals.

    5. Morata. Not yet lived up to his potential but he is a player I like. Tall, strong and technically sound. Has all the ingredients to become a top player.

    6. Aubameyang. Finally living up to his potential at Dortmund. Quick and a good finisher would cost in excess of £45 Million
