They sure like the taste of bait down west.

Still, suppose it beats rats and garbage.

Collecting scrap to help renovate the shanty towns of Swansea. All part of a day's missionary work in the vast metropolis of Bridgend. :emoticon-0105-wink:

Good to see you've finally admitted that swansea is a shanty town. Glad you can laugh about it, too <ok>

Whilst you are using legal terms, here is one for you to check Mens Rea,

Until you understand the concept your argument falls flat.

IF Mens Rea could have been proved, and people had been defrauded then there was a case to answer.

People paid for season tickets, they got season tickets, where was the fraud?

Swansea continued to trade knowing they couldn't pay the debts they were continuing to run up, this is wrongful trading and contravenes the 1986 Insolvency Act.

This has serious implications for the officers of the company, so they entered into a CVA to avoid criminal charges.

Why you have such a propblem in admitting that your club was run by a bunch of crooks and very lucky to still be in existence is beyond me,,,,,,,,,perhaps because then you will have to admit that swansea "fans" lecturing Cardiff fans on how to run a club is ridiculous, and they will have to stop boasting about how wonderful swansea is in all things <doh>

    Simple question

    Tony Petty

    Peter Ridsdale

Which one had to face criminal charges?

Tony Petty. He was a crook who we thankfully got out of the club not long after he came in.

What this has to do with us now is quite beyond me. I'm really, really bored with this being dragged up all the time.

Perhaps if some people in West Wales stopped bringing up Cardiffs financial circumstances of a few years ago, and boasting about "what a well run club swansea is, in comparison to Cardiff" then the subject would drop, Cardiff sailed close to the letter of the law in the past, but didn't break the law. Certain swansea fans delight in telling us how badly run Cardiff is, it was in the past it isn't now, but when you point out to them that swansea was run in a far worse way than Cardiff has ever been in the past, they go into denial, instead of just admitting that swansea city that swansea city was run by a bunch of crooks who ripped people off, and is lucky to still be in existence, they spout the "You are just
just jealous because we are in the premier league and your going bust" rubbish. Not true but some so called fans need to get their heads from up their arses, and admit that swansea was run by a bunch of crooks who ripped people off and the club was lucky to survive it, they should be grateful that they still have a club, not boasting about how well run it is.

Boast about your recent achievements on the pitch if you must boast about something, but holding your club up as aparagon of virtue and financial propriety is just ill informed rubbish.

    1) I more than know the meaning of mens rea (i also checked again in case it had changed from when i wrote the post seeing as you seem to think it means different to what it actually does) and I have a more that decent grasp of legal concepts.

    2) Im not one for picking off random **** from the net and posting on here for arguments sake but i had no choice with this one and it turns out you may need to do your homework a bit though Prophet.

    http://www.walesonline.co.uk/footba...diff-city-golden-ticket-offer-91466-28641894/

See the link. He was in court 5 days ago in relation to OFFENCES UNDER THE FRAUD ACT and consumer protection regulations. So hows that for me not having a grasp of legal concepts. Turns out there is a couple of experienced professionals who think there is enough mens rea to find him guilty of fraudulent offences!!

    3) As for which one of the two people you mentioned has had to face criminal charges..... turns out its both !!!

Now normal people who go away right now and skulk for a bit but im assuming you are going to come back with a post along the lines that it is a consipracy or there is no case to answer (yes i am risking writing this as i do not know the outcome of the July 22 hearing) etc etc so i'll save you the time and effort by giving you a little bit of friendly advice DONT BOTHER

Look at it this way. I acknowledge that in the past creditors were paid a very small sum in the pound (1p I seem to remember) but that was the offer, and the other option was the club folded and no-one got anything. The council owned the Vetch, did they not? What would we have had to sell to raise money?! Sod all! haha.

I feel perfectly entitled to celebrate both the achievements of my team on the pitch and off it. The current administration have, whether you like it or not, run the club extremely efficiently and I am very pleased, nay delighted to see this trend continuing into how we've been conducting affairs this summer. Couple that with the football we've been playing, and some of the epic matches towards the tail end of last season (Leeds at home, Forest in the playoffs, Norwich at home) and that makes me one very happy bunny indeed.

I am so bored about talking about creditors and ****, let's talk about football is it?
