because stranger things have happened in football and why the feck I should feel miserable is beyond me. it's not really about being optimistic- its more a preference not to contribute to a collective misery

On that basis, the site would be like a ghost town (or ship if you prefer). I feel it is good for fans to vent their spline but accept it is not everyone's cup of tea. I say my bit on the Matchday thread, on the day of the match and generally leave it at that but I am always coming back to see the extent of the frustration/anger/whatever.

very true it would be like a ghost ship especially as everyone is walking the plank. You may well be right, the forum is no longer for me- i'll sail off into the sunset wearing my rose tinted spectacles

So you would prefer a forum where everyone agrees with each other, with not a bad word to be said about Saint Delia, McNally, AN et al where everybody pats each other on the back regardless?

In a worst case scenario, there's always the Pink'Un forum to fall back on if you miss NCFC debate and opinions...but be prepared for <yikes>
A win in two weeks time and you'll find planks, cutlasses, and parrots on shoulders will all miraculously disappear - it's what football fans do <ok>

Not at all- but the arguments don't really change or evolve- think back two years- change a few names and the same arguments are trotted out. it's just too predictable - its like to listening to the football pundits- there are seldom any insights, When I first looked at the site, I think it made me think differently at times about the club, the performances, etc- it just doesn't do that anymore.

I agree. We all know that everything isn't rosy, but there was much to praise in the performance and I agree that we were the better team overall. Discuss the problems, certainly but give some credit where it's due as well. We still have a reasonable chance of survival and until that's gone I'll still be hoping.

    2 things about this article,
Firstly: I thought that Alex Neil said that he was going to go back to basics 2 weeks ago, is there more than 1 basic?
Secondly: A stroke of luck for Wes's goal? The fact that Naismith was prepared to shoot at goal created the chance for Wes. So not luck but application and effort. The rest of the team need to take note of that, just shoot (Gary O"Neil) instead of running all the way across the penalty box before giving the ball away!!

Well, and the fact that it may have been offside.

And Wet Sham's first goal was as a result of a player going for goal and Ruddy only managed to parry it straight to Payet!!!

I said to the bloke next to me that when Moses came on, he was put on to exploit our biggest weakness, Right full back! Bilic, had sussed that out and it worked perfectly for them. Agree with the rest of your comments, but still not happy with Ruddy's decision making. West Ham are a dirty cheating side, the number of feigned injury's was incredible!

A big song and dance made about Wes being offside, but I thought it was marginal at best. His feet and legs were clearly onside, his head was possibly offside

So, would he have been offside if he'd headed it? ;)

That offside rule is a load of bollocks, I've seen decisions being discussed on MotD, "HIS HAND WAS OFFSIDE" how the fluck is the referee supposed to spot that???? Surely if its that marginal then the decision should go to the attacker, it's got to be the whole person so the officials have a fighting chance to see it surely? OR instant replays.:emoticon-0145-shake:emoticon-0145-shake:emoticon-0145-shake

I saw a stat recently saying that, in the whole of Europe (or the major 5 or 6 leagues anyway), Seb Bassong is the CB that has experienced the most goals conceded over the season so far (50).
