With us terminating the contract of a first team player and injuries to Lens and Watmore, we are really short in numbers for our attacking options. Giaccherini has played 14 games for Bologna now, and 12 have them have been playing on the left of the forward and he has scored 6 goals in them games. I believe we have an option to recall him, so should we be looking at this?
Bring the lad back for me really liked him got bags of talent and gives his all every game!! Could have some attack with him in it aswel
Aye, same with me mate. He's playing smart at Bologna, I'd definitely have him back but not sure he'd want to be here
If Sam thinks Giacc (or Alvarez either) would fit in with his new continental lads, I'd jump at another of them.
A big no for me. It didn't work last time. No reason why it would work next time. I doubt he'd be up for it either, considering how well he's settled in over there.
Really strange we let him go, IMO exactly what we need. Especially strange with Johnson Malarky, unless the club believed the lying twat and thought ok we at least have him to create.
Not sure we could get him back anyway especially if we`ve accepted a fee. Don`t know if we have or not mind.
I don't know the agreement that's taken him over there, nor the conditions of the agreement that could bring him back. I just can't imagine any situation why he'd want to come back.
There's no recall clauses on loans with fees. I wouldn't ask him to come back as I don't think he deserves his career ruining twice... If we could and he played to his potential we'd stay up at a canter.
I think the lad is quality and never got a fair crack. If he was in Arsenal or Liverpools 11 we would be creaming over him. Get him on a plane now!!!
It didnt work out cos he was injured all the time. I would have him back as long as the injury worries are over, but if not might as well sell him and get another player in.
Maybe the reason he was injured all the time was because he just wasn't up for the physicality of the Premier League. I've no idea what all his injuries were, but maybe if was getting the crap knocked out of him when he did play he just maybe wasn't mentally up to the challenge either. That's all speculation obviously. He's happier now though, playing in a slower, more technical league. More suited to his style of football.
