I'll take anyone with more recent prem/english football experience for the short term at least there may be more passion and graft from the players.....let's be honest it can't be any worse than the current hapless head coach with his ridiculous media friendly Cheshire cat grin!!

I can't understand, at all, why Charnley's there. He's about to spearhead the relegation of a club following an £81m spend. The ineptitude, the inadequacy, the sheer bloody-minded stupidity is so galling it is probably going to turn me away for good. Or at least until one of the unholy trinity of Charnley, Ashley and Schteve fck off for good.

McLaren needs to go now, he has had eight months in charge and what 80 odd million spent on a squad that is no better now than it was before the investment.
He persists in playing a formation that does not suit our players and one which it was blatantly obvious yesterday the team do not understand or believe in.
It was obvious to anyone with eyes that he needed to make changes quickly yesterday, but he sat as per the norm until half time and did nothing to address the carnage.
I really felt for Aaron's who was being terrorised all match and so nervous you could see it in his body language.
When McLaren eventually made a change it was to bring on Colback, but to my amazement not to spare poor Aaron's anymore humiliation at lb?
Gini was anonymous again and quite often is away from SJP. Why not bring on Saivet, who is steady and calm? Why isolate Mitro?
Also did anyone notice the angry exchanges between Shelvey and the bench? I didn't but it has been reported that angry words were said born out of frustration l suspect.
When the chips are down teams of any sort look to their leadership, and l think it sums it up perfectly. If you were on that pitch being overrun, humiliated and not for the first time, if you looked up and saw McLaren still on his arse, head in hands, would that inspire you?
It's time for change whilst there is still time.

Narrow defeats can be excused but getting battered and humiliated cannot.

Playing attackers in defence based on the fact he's left-footed is a nonsense.

It looked to me like MacClaren didn't know what threat Chelsea would provide - the players certainly looked clueless - completely unacceptable.

Who would come? We are worse than all the promoted clubs and we've been in this division for years now.

Guess it's clear we've gone backwards despite the investment.

    Truly amazing!

I would get Rafa Benitez. He loves England and is proven quality.

Ok, he's fatter than Steve Bruce but then as long as we stay up, who cares?

It's a bigger problem than the Manager though, we simply don't have good enough players.

Defenders mainly, but with the exception of Townsend, we have nobody who can produce away from SJP.

Whatever happens for the rest of this season (because every, single one of us knows he ain't getting sacked regardless) the club (otherwise known as Ashley) must, must, must, must, must, must, must, must, must, must, must, must, must, must, must, must, must, must, must, must, must, must get rid of Charnley. No matter the appointment - and I've no doubt under the fat one it'll be a poor one - they cannot be as worthless, hopeless or inept as Lee fcking Charnley. He had no backup plan when Pardew walked, instead pinned absolutely everything on McClaren and nearly took the club down hand in hand with Carver. He then appointed a freshly-sacked McClaren because he was never, ever, in a million years capable or interested in making any other more sane/rational decision. Everybody in the entire world knew what a poor decision that was. Everybody. He's a woeful, pitiful human being who is putting his arrogance and self-importance ahead of the club and every single one of its' fans. Ashley, the fcking unfathomable buffoon, is LETTING him. It's just idiocy and stupidity at a whole other level, I've never, ever seen anything like it at Newcastle United.

If nothing changes we simply have to go down. We must not reward Ashley with this TV money, we must not allow Charnley to remain employed, we must not let Steve be anything other than the abject failure he is and we must not lead these players to think they are good enough for this division.

Marcelo Gallardo or Bielsa - they would have zero interest though. Short term one required. A 4 month remit to save our skins and then get one of the two aforementioned managers in the summer.

Sunderland and West Brom getting it together and picking up points, Bournemouth, already with a decent total on the board, even Norwich above us and looking better than us, all combined with us being utter dross and plunging a new low on Saturday.....McClaren's gotta get the boot. £80m spent and we've gone backwards.

As we known by now though, Ashley doesn't pay compensation and only gets managers in on the cheap - Keegan was out of work, Kinnear was out of work, Shearer had never managed before, Hughton was bumped up from coach, Pardew was out of work, Carver bumped up from coach and the Brolley Wally had just been sacked.

Kinnear? - Nah, no longer buddies after the Cabaye debacle
Benitez? - Too high profile, wouldn't waste his time with us
Clement? - seems ike a decent choice, despite lack of experince
Advocaat?Poyet? - running out of ideas now
    Shearer? - lol

No change will made in the immediate future,

The games against Stoke and Bournmouth will happen prior to any changes. if we lose them both expect a change. I would like to see us appoint a new manager just after the leicester game, then our new gaffer will have his first game against the Mackems, lets see how they like it!

No point i think we need to be more ambitious with coaches etc because without a good cook the quality of the ingredients is irrelevant

Seriously though, you need Moyes. He'll jump at that job as well.
