That's right, and from where Clattenburg was positioned I don't think he could see exactly where contact was made. Poor decision from one of the better ref's we have
It hit his arm... his arm was out..... it was attached to a complete ****bag... ergo pen... stonewall.
That Villa performance was one of the worst i've ever seen in the PL However it's awesome that Toure has got a LFC goal !! And it's the easiest header he''ll ever doink
The Sterling one was a Pen. The handball rule needs re-defining though and needs to be clearer Villa are so non-existent that there'll just be a blank in the championship next season where they're supposed to be
Two easiest headers you are ever likely to see, Sturridge and Toure. There is no name for defending like that in the English language
Yes there is.....****e.....woeful.....kamikaze (possibly not English ) ...appauling.....invisible....****.....lame.....easy, easy, easy.....Evertonesque
I think you have to do it intentionally for that, I don't believe they are good enough to be that bad on purpose
The Studge goal was very poor defensively. Lescott clearly tells the LB that Studge is his man yet the LB stays where he is and fails to communicate with Lescott despite being able to see the entire pitch from his position Lescott rightly goes mad at him too. However, when Lescott passes the responsibility (rightly at that time), he fails to look again until after the goal is about to be scored. Not good enough from an experienced international defender!
Lescott, the CB, shouldn't be passing on the responsibility. He's got no one else to mark and Cissokho has a man behind him who he's drawn to. Lescott should have taken responsibility and marked the player. See he's in trouble for posting a pic of his £125k motor after the game, claiming it was an error, the phone was in his pocket and was posted by accident Ah the pocket fairy went into your pocket, unlocked your phone, opened twitter, clicked upload photo, clicked the photo, clicked upload did it... suuuuuuuure
That's what I'd expect to happen but passing on the responsibility wasn't a major issue. Both players failing to react to that instruction / failed instruction was the problem. Of course, had he taken responsibility himself like he should then there would be no confusion.
