Loved the celebration for the goal with all the players running into the fans and going wild. Proper buzzing from that late winner. Ozil once again creates the moment of magic which makes the difference. And Welbeck might not be the most prolific striker but he's scored some important goals for us! When Walcott came on he really played well I thought, came across like one of the senior players in the team and seemed to really push us on.
Yeah I feel like this result opens it back up for any of the top four to put a run together and take the title.
Let's just take it one game at a time. Barca result IDGAF about tbh and let the B-team plus anybody who needs match fitness take Hull. Despite their current form United at Old Trafford is always tricky but we won and drew there last season. See no reason why we can't win there again.
The game and result remind me of when Steve Bruce scored in injury time for Man Utd against Sheffield Wednesday in 1993
Massive hats off to the team. Defense was solid, especially in the first half and Atkinson dashed them their goal. Monreal a hero. Gets screwed by the ref but still keeps Mahrez quiet and wins the FK that gave us the winner. Ramsey was wasteful in front of goal but made his presence known in the middle and Coq looked sharper and is nearing his best. Ox was decent but Theo worked out brilliantly. Sanchez I thought was poor today but still troubled Leicester. Giroud battled and got an assist. Shame he couldn't nick a goal but that save was unreal. Ozil may have been below par but he's world class and world class players only need to hurt you for the one time necessary. And Welbeck? He's Dat Guy.
Was that the one with 25 minutes added on time...the original fergie time match...before added on time was a thing?
Didn't Bruce score in something like the 8th minute of injury time ? You can tell I'm an old ****,I still call it injury time
Can't overstate how massive this win was today. The 3 points were always going to be big, but against the league leaders and the manner of the win will give the team such a big confidence boost, especially going into the last few minutes of games, as they will feel that there's always a goal if they keep at it
Have to follow it up with a win at Old Trafford and at least a draw at spurs. Can't say i'm confident about either but we'll see
