My contract runs out at work at the end of February. The boss just came to me today and said, "good news I've got your contract extended until the end of March. Now can you please do something!!" No I ****ing cant. I'm not gonna upset the other lads.
I play football and golf, I used to play pool when I worked at the Fox but I'm **** at it now. I'm quite getting into squash, don't think there is a more tiring sport for me to do that involves running less than 2 metres.
Yep. They brought in a new bloke in November with a contract until March. ****s. No wonder I've been doing **** all. Anyway he's useless and they're getting rid of him. Conscientious and hard working, he was doomed from the start.
My only sport is scuba diving. I don't dive in the UK during the cold months, so my last dive was in September, in Croatia. I have done some pool dives during the winter. Just getting ready for Fuerteventura and a few dives. I have to sort my medical first and that will be a challenge in itself.
do the boxing but I also spar and get punched in the head from people younger, stronger and better than me but I do quite well. go 3 times a week and dropped over 2 stone so far. debating taking a fight on but I am 50 in two weeks and classed as a super heavyweight so getting a match up is difficult. I also walk 5 miles a day with the dog and run about ten chasing the friggin kids about.....
Played rugby league up until recently, played in the national leagues (5th and 6th tier) until my shoulder decided enough was enough. It's hard to be forced to quit a sport you love at an early age, took up power lifting but Jesus it's boring, nothing beats a team sport in my opinion. Might go back to playing football but having not played for years I imagine I'll be about as much use as Simon Walton.
With my wife - walk 4 days a week for 45 mins/day early morning during the week. 3 hr bush walk mid-morning 1 day of the weekend. By myself - 3 times a week in the early afternoon I bush walk for 2 hours plus an additional half-hour exercise session mid-way. No walking if the the temperature exceeds 30C.
Jeez! Do you ever get the time to watch the telly? A few months ago, it took me half an hour to find the TV remote. The dog had got it in her basket. Never again! I've fitted a remote to find the remote, but now I can't find it.
And each generation plays I the same... 'Things' was for some unknown reason one of my favourite songs of the early sixties. I actually sang it on stage a few times. Now, I think it's ****. No I don't, it's still great. I think I must be uncertain, possibly. No I'm not. It's a great song ... like almost everything the great Bobby Darin did. Though there's not a single sound, and there's nobody else around ... ... except the ex-pats, immigrants, emigrants, etc., after the Home Guard ha fallen asleep, in a stupour. Yes, that line forms, on the right, babe. Now that is how to be obscure, or even tenuous. Oh, the ignominy. And the irony. Google is going to be busy!
I only sleep about 5-6 hours/night hence in a week exercise only takes up about 10% of my available time. Spend about triple that watching TV, which is far too much, including about 20 hrs watching football, mainly Premier League games.
