Can't fault the owners for listening and doing something about it. They've taken a lot of stick over this and other issues, some of it rightly so but we forget they are still learning and they've always been quick to rectify any problems and do seem to have the club's best interest at heart.

Freezing ticket prices is a good step no doubt and it's the first steps in the right direction, just need to hope over the following years that it wasn't one small step forward followed by 2 giant steps back. The plan should be about making tickets cheaper and affordable for everyone, mainly the local people not just making people pay the same high prices they are currently paying and saying "look we aren't making it any expensive so it's good value".

Does this mean my Virgin subscriptions are going to subsidise layabout Scouse deadbeats to go to football matches, instead of bankrolling the wages of millionaire, conceited footballers who can't hit a cow's arse with a banjo?

I'm outraged and will be writing to the Daily Mail forthwith.

Some of the kids who my sister has worked with in education would kick the teacher's head in if they didn't give them freebie tickets for being the 'best-behaved' in class.

It will be interesting to see if that mode of protest will be used by other clubs now.

In a school one of my daughters attended they used to give raffle tickets to the disruptive kids if they behaved and each month raffle off prizes like Gameboys. PS4's etc. My daughter was the top student in a year of 140 kids, she got 10 A* and 1 A grade at GCSE and never had any recognition in the 5 years she was there. Yet the school boasts in its prospectus how many A - C grades they get each year and average them out between the entire year group.

The school had a system were the head boy and head girl were voted for by all the pupils. In her year the kid voted Head boy had been suspended for drug dealing and a second time for tipping a disabled child out of her wheelchair for a laugh. The Head girl was thick as two short planks and the biggest slag in the year. The Head was so wet and politically correct it was unbelievable. I was glad when my daughter left to do her A levels elsewhere.

You can be proud of her and she's learned to do her work. All that can be said is those stags and dealers will end up in a sad way while she will look back in 10 years time and be proud of what's she's done and look forward to the rewards she'll have earned herself not got given.

    So do you guys think;

    1. If there's no categories some matches will be more expensive and some less so will that effect what? Not season tickets but casual goers.

    2. Do you think sos and spoon will push from here to get price reductions.

    3. Do you think fsg were pretty clear the cost of this stand is owed and must be repaid. Either by revenue or by reduced transfers

See Corbyn has jumped on the bandwagon with Cameron. Cocksuckers thought nothing of it before job was done.

Don't get me wrong they have more important things to look at but just grates when they do their usual opportunistic bollox.

  12. Fair pay to FSG. I really didn't think they'd back down but they have. Credit where it's due although it shouldn't have needed to come to this in the first place.

  13. Question though...

Removing the categorising of games; does that mean it will cost as much to watch a category C/D match as it would a category A now?

AFAIK they are now all at an "average" price so that the total income is the same as this season

    All 19 games cost same.

A utd game cost more than sunderland last year but next year they are all the same.... which is fair cos both will be in a relegation dogfight.

    1. It may well make tickets for the now cat A games even harder to get hold of that's for sure <laugh>

    2. No, I doubt it (not yet anyway). What was needed was proper engagement between owners and fans, it appears that's what has happened. Better late than never. I suspect the next target would be around away ticket prices...let's see if the club changes direction and sides with our neighbours on that one. If they continue to listen they just might...

    3. Yes and I think saying it twice in the statement was a reminder of that. I think that it was fair to mention it (once would have sufficed) but I think they also need to remember we all know they got a very good deal on the club plus we all know there is a massive value to the FSG brand from owning LFC. I for one think the loan was great for the club but if FSG stick around it will still pay for itself quick enough.

If their intentions are as they say then let's see if they stick around to see the job through (I actually hope they do). I think they have seriously taken their eyes off the ball this side of the pond...the Mignolet of owners if you like.

They have a committee that's seriously malfunctioned yet seems untouchable, there are three of them yet they have very little presence at matches, they are now onto Plan D and that ain't working...it just seems a bit all over the place in terms of direction and cohesion. Sometimes that leadership has to come from the very top and now it is needed more than ever. Well done for engaging...please don't let it be a one off.

Ian Ayre's attitude before and after the walkout showed him to be out of touch with the supporter he claims he once was, no doubt he had a say in recommending the level of ticket price rise for the new stand, FSG's embarrassing apology might see smarmy arse Ayre having to pay the going rate for his seat at future games if JH and the Boston crew make him the scapegoat.
