On this point, does anyone think there will be a big hike in prices next year?

Maybe if you haven't got one this season and they did say the cost of a season ticket in the SEJ would be priced between the cost of one in the Rookery and Graham Taylor Upper.

The club will probably hope we are safe by mid-April when the prices do come out - will they try to take advantage of the goodwill around the club or as so many try to make as much money as they can?

They may adopt a similar policy to how they release matchday tickets. This explains who is in categories A, B and C. You may want to check what category he is as it may be easy to go to one game in his name and bump up his fan ID to category B instead of C.

Of course, the club may not use these categories at all for the season ticket applications, after current season ticket holders have had a turn.

If my memory serves me well, the sale of ST for this season went like this.
    1. Current ST holders had an "Early Bird" chance to renew at a discounted price.
    2. Early Bird offer finished and the chance to move seats was available - this was because of the Sir EJ stand and a long standing promise to allow people to move back if the had been in the East Stand.
    3. A limited number of ST's were then made available and I am sure they were prioritised as per the above I.e Cat A match day group first etc. A few more were made available when the bottom of the Sir EJ stand had seats added. But the club left a number of seats available to purchase.
I would imagine the same will apply for next season and if we stay up, I would imagine very few ST's will be available to new applicants.
I would also imagine that a small price increase will be applied if we stay up - so I would not expect any news until our position is confirmed.

Sorry, my explanation wasn't quite clear. I meant if they allocate new season tickets (after current ST holders have renewed) in the same priority as home tickets, this is the way they would do it. They may not do it the same way as home tickets though!

You can get a season ticket for a more limited amount of games if you live over 75 miles away. It's a bit like sharing apparently; I don't know how many games you get for that or how much they were. I would recommend calling and asking for information.

They are quite hot on the distance....you need to be 75miles away based on google map directions(you cannot choose your route) I was 73.6 miles away and did not qualify, even though the route I take is 77miles

You get a season ticket and you are allowed up to 13 games I think in the prem and 15 in the championship (hopefully not) you basically go to whichever games you want, and you draw down on your 'game entitlement' if you want to go to more than 13 games you can 'buy' your seat at the pro-rata game rate of a season ticket.

Obviously if you are not going to attend a specific match it may be nice to advise the club so that the vic can be kept full

Anyway hope this helps, the info above is based on last season, so may have changed

You have to show a utility bill (or two) in your name at the address and I thought that I saw that they are not issuing any new 75-milers, but only renewing existing ones. A quick email to the ticket office will provide the information. I always email the club when I cannot get to a game and they try and resell the seat and then give the money to the two club's charities.
